i ordered a matrix chip from xbox-modchips.com ...3 days later, i ordered x2.2lite+ from console corner.....i received my xecutor chip a week b4 my matrix chip.....service is a bit slow....at first it took a while to get responses in emails, but lately responses seem to be very quick....they seem to be getting better from my personal experience, but not even close to how good and friendly service i got from console corner....i'd give xbox-modchips.com about a 6.5/10

It took 3-4 weeks to get my X2 lite, I did a chargeback on my CC but the chip was shipped almost at the same time I did my chargeback so I got my X2 lite for free. I don't recommend them they don't reply emails and takes a long time.

I ordered X2.2 pro a week ago (Saturday). I got the order confirmation and number the next day. Wednesday nothing had changed in the order tracking link. So I started searching xbox-scene and google for experiences and I got worried. Sent them an email Wednesday asking for status, no replay so far, sent a new mail today, still nothing.

Do a search on google for www.xbox-modchips.com. Doesn't look promising?

So, when I got the feeling it might take weeks or forever to get the X2.2 I ordered one from divineo.co.uk too. They are not responding by email either.....

Look like this mod will be the same price as a new and a half xbox....

i ordered my x2.2 pro from this place and after many emails with no response I filed a complaint on my credit card. IT had been over 3 months!! well the company sent me a tracking number but the number did not work at all a few weeks after that tho when the cc complaint was recieved i got my x2.2 pro in the mail. I would not recommend this place at all there seems to be much more reliable resellers around

I have nothing bad to say about them. I would buy from them again XBOXMODCHIPS

Update on my situation; I received both a pm and an email today with the tracking number.
Feel alot better now.

I received the chip yesterday, it works 100% too. So, to summarize my experience; I had second thoughts after searching the net for experiences with this shop. But it turned out that the chip was shipped the second open day after I placed the order and that they had problems with email.

I ordered from www.xbox-modchips.com. I got an email stating it had shipped the next business day with a tracking number. It left canada and i am still waiting on it, but i sent a couple of emails and i was shocked at the fast response, even on a weekend (within 2 hours). They explained my order was being held up by customs and they were going to check to see what was the delay. I have been very satisfied with the service and so far i would give them a 10/10.

First time I ordered 3 chip from them and it went really smooth! I got a tracking number just 2 days after the order.

This time I ordered 5 chip but I have still not been confirmed about my tracking number even that it's about 4-5 days since I placed the order. I have mailed the twice asking about what's going on withot replay. Seems strange but I will update you about how things turns out.

But still a week and some change later I haven't even got a shipping number, nor a response to the several emails I've sent about my order. Starting to get worried here as I haven't heard a peep from them yet.

they seem to be getting better...i also got fast email responses, very friendly service...apoligize for my bad response at first...

I have still not recived any replay from them and I'm starting to get really worried. I got a mail from them this saturday with a advertise but I have still not recived any replay on my personal emails I sent them. It's strange as it worked so smooth the first time and now these delays. Anyway there's really nothing I can do about it so let's wait and see.... I have had a very bad experiences with them/him.
They do not reply to emails. It took over 15 emails over about 4 weeks, including some threats (which I followed thru on) before we got a result.

Absolutely terrible service - best to try someone else.

it seems xbox-modchips.com isnt to big on small orders. DO NOT buy from them if you plan on purchasing just one or two chip.... go to system-mods. if you plan on ordering in bulk (5+) as far as i've seen the process goes great.

i'm planning on testing this theory.... I purchased one from them before and got the runaround until i issued a complaint to the credit companies. but with all the positive feedback i may try them again being as they are in canada and all. or try Royal... they're awsome... live support.

My order was a larger one (about US$3000) and I still got stuffed around for about a month!!

my friend(FooDragon) just got his shipping number, however when we tried to track it for the past 3 days, the item isnt showing up. We placed the order on the 27th, I still dont believe it was even shipped, and its 3 weeks later. My friend was the one who payed but he contacted the credit card company to put in a dispute. I would never purchase from this place again and recommend that everyone stays away from them because their customer service is awful as well as their whole operation.

However, on the third day, I got both a reply and a confirmation of the shipment. Furthermore, my mod chip arrived on the 6th day. I ordered Monday morning and it arrived in the mail Saturday.

They even followed up after the fact to confirm my satisfaction.

I'm guessing that they are trying to make an effort at this point. I was very pleased with their speed of service and I have friends who have since used www.xbox-modchips.com and have no regrets either.

I ordered a matrix mod chip from them also. They service was great. The first chip I recieved had problems they helped me troubleshoot it. Once we found out that it was a defective chip they sent out another one that day.

it just seems really hard for me to belive that you buy a modchip, install it and then procede to X-S to post ONCE. and not only is it ONCE, its a long post that sounds experianced and its in websop ratings.

Just wanted to post my experience with xbox-modchips.I order a X2.2 Lite with a programmer.Got it about a week later.It seemed pretty solid to me.The only thing i didn't like about the site was that they didn't have a phone number to reach them at.Other then that it was all good.

I purchased my items from them and they were shipped very quickly through the mail. I was sent a tracking number but then I didn't receive the items for a month. They were very helpful and were willing to re-ship using UPS. I finally received them today but the package had obviously been held up at US customs and thoroughly inspected and clusily repackaged. I would recommend using UPS instead of Canadian mail. Perhaps the customs is less of a hassle that way. The comany was very helpful and responded to emails. I recommend them without reservation.

I orderered a X2 Lite 2.0 back in May of this year and got it very quickly. Their tech support was there to reply to emails I sent later that day. One time I had an issue, sent an email, got a reply in like 30min!! I swear they had someone sitting there waiting to reply to my noob-like questions haha. I would buy from them again.

Strange that people have had issues with xbox-mod-chips, I have had exactly the opposite experience. I found my orders were delivered very quickly (faster than I expected). I live in South africa, and have had my orders fulfilled in less than 8 days, and 10 days repsectively. Considering that it can take in land post that long in this country, thats very good.

Secondly, their replies to email questions have always been prompt and helpful.

I would use them again.

I just ordered a matrix yester day...I got an email that gave me a tracking number....but i dont no cuz when i go to track it nothing comes up??

I have no complaints with them. I had ordered 1 chip, got it a week later.

I was plesantly suprised when they followed up with the email later on.

I've ordered 3 mod-chips pro and had absolutely no trouble at all. Payment was easy and the delivery was quick (within a week). No problems at all from The Netherlands.

I have ordered 4 Xecutor 2.2 chips this Saturday after having a string of emails answered in the speediest fashion yet.
As I live in Australia, to get a reply in a couple of hours from a US or Canadian supplier is something I have never experienced before. Usually it takes well over 24 hours to get a reply. The replies in this case came anywhere from 2 hours to 10 hours.
Their prices were great, the shipping was cheaper through Canadian Post than other US based services and when I placed my order on Saturday afternoon, I received a tracking number within 14 hours.
I will post again once I get the box of goodies to provide some feedback for an "End to end" transaction and to give any potential locals an indication on how long such a transaction will take.

I can only praise xbox-mod-chips.com for their speedy, friendly and professional service at the right price both the chips for international postage.

I intend on dealing with them again in the near future.

I also noticed a couple of the not so positive posts retracted their bad views after custom, email and other issues. Living far away from many suppliers, I have learnt to be patient in the past. It sounds like customs have a bit to answer for in a number of instances.

I placed my order on Monday 15th/2003 on over a dozen chips and today on the 17th 2003, i received my order.. the x2.2lites all came in thier own stamped box.. (niiice) and the packaging was done very carefully and well..

I hotswapped and reflashed all 15 chips with no problems.. all working 100%

the only thing i can complain about xbox-mod-chips.com is that i wish, i ran into this shop ALOT sooner !!!!!!!

I can now add this to my attempts to contact this company. I placed my order on the 24th. I received a confirmation email, but the best I can tell the item hasn't shipped. I have sent two emails and now a PM asking for a status. No reply so far. Should I stop payment with the credit card or just wait?

I placed an order two weeks ago. I got a confirmation a tracking number. Here's where it gets shifty. It says it was delivered but I haven't seen it, and it would have to have been delivered to our suite at work. NO ONE else but someone in our suite could've signed for it. I sent about 3 emails throughout the week with no reply. If I get no response by morning, I'm calling the CC and getting my money back. I spent $80 when I could've saved $30 by just getting the Xecuter Lite. I'm really frustrated with their week corespondance.

I order my Xecuter 2.2 Pro on Sept.23 and 11 days later Im still waiting for it. I have sent emails and no response. Im not very satisfied at this time..

Well i placed an order around july for 2 x2.2lites and recieved them on august 1st or something, to find out one of the chips was defective, couldnt write to it or anything, so they told me to send it back, and i'll be honest i didn't send it back right away, but because it took about a week for them to set up a PO box. Sent the chip out on Sept12 got an email saying they receieved it on the 18th. Well ever since they receieved it they told me they contacted sales and they would send me a newchip... Now im not sure if they havent contacted sales, or if the chip took its longest route to get here, but I have still not received this chip I been trying to get a hold of for almost 2months now. Anyways im sure its on its way, just my bad luck or something. my transcation number is LE035133617CA, but the other x2.2lite worked perfectly... and still is working perfectly.

dafragsta: I am not sure what happened, when we give the chips to the delivery company they become responsible for the chip. If they say its been delivered, then they have delivered it somewhere. We cannot make up fake tracking results for Canada Post.

Please email us with your order ID and tracking number and we will look into this ASAP.

Here's my experience so far with this company; I will update as things develop. I placed my order on September 29th; of course, my credit card was charged quicker than I could even get a confirmation email. That came the next day. Then nothing for 5 days, even with my emailing them a couple times. I finally PM their rep on these boards, who, to be fair, has been very friendly and prompt in responses. He (she?) tells me that there was a question with my address (under city it had my apt #, but couldn't they find the city using the zip code?). First of all, I would have appreciated if they had told me there was a problem with my shipping address, rather than just taking my money and letting the order rot in their database. After that was cleared up, I was told it would ship "ASAP" and that I would receive a tracking number for the package in the next day or two. Now, three days later, I'm sitting here with NOTHING.



p.s. Is it just me or does it bug anyone else to have to prod a company just to get the service you paid for? I mean, unanswered emails and even rudeness I would tolerate; I just want my chip!


Update: Oct. 12 now, still no tracking number...all attempts at correspondence have gone unanswered. You can be sure I'll never do business with this company again.

I am also getting pissed at this supplier. I bought an executer pro 2.2 for a mates birthday 1 week and a half ago and I haven't even received a confirmation email. Don't use these guys! It's crap service and I'm off to by from another website.

I am getting mad. I bought mod-chip 2weeks ago and I haven't recevied package.

I ordered a chip from them two weeks ago. I also got a tracking number LE033273537CA, but when I call CanadaPost to track it, they tell me that the tracking # they gave me is an active company number, but it has not shipped yet. I've sent them emails with no response and I don't believe my order has shipped yet at all. I also think I've bean screwed and I will contact my credit card company tomorrow and tell them that I think Mod-chips is performing fraud and I want my money back. I don't know what will happen but hey what else can you do.

9-11-2003 Recieved follow up to see if chip was working ok
9-12-2003 Replied "Chip never recieved"
9-13-2003 Recived reply asking for order info, that has been in every email i sent them.
9-30-2003 Recieved email saying chip would ship "tomorrow" and would get new tracking number.. Never recieved new tracking number.
10-6-2003 Complained again.. no response
10-10-2003 Started refund request with Pay Systems Again.

So as you can see.. They dont give a shit cause they have my money!!!

And as you can see from their site, Paypal is no longer avalible. Probably because they got their account suspended for this crap..

Yeah... I read some of the above posts and decided to give this site a shot. I'll do a timeline thing like 'myridom' did above.

10/10 - Ordered Xecute2.2 PRO + Solderless Pogo (as well)
10/11 - Recieved email from PaySystems with my receipt (Order #).
10/11 - Recieved email from Xbox Linux Chips saying thanks for purchase, will be processed shortly.
10/14 - Sent several emails regarding whats going on.
10/16 - Requested refund from mypaysystems.com

Now this is there I'm at now.... I've sent an email to the shipping and info departments saying I have not recieved my Tracking # and will complain if I don't recieve a tracking # within a couple days. So its the 14th now and I know I did it on late Friday/Saturday and it was Sunday the next day and Monday was Columbus Day (didn't know Canadians celebrated that) but its been 4 days and I haven't recieved my tracking number yet.
