Originally Xenium Gold with Xbox v1.1 solderless adapter.
However it was "Out of Stock" and assured me the SmartXX v3 was better
Also assured me they would send te solderless adapter for Xbox v1.0-1.5

That seems to be the unison cry I've read here and now I'm joining in the weeping and gnashing of teeth. Here is my story. It may sound like a lot of your own. This is long but I suggest you read it fully as I have included every detail of my dealings with these low lifes.

5/29/07 I browsed to xbox-modchips.com. I saw the Xenium Gold was "IN STOCK". I placed my order and also ordered the solderless adapter for Xbox v1.0-1.5. I read many good reviews about Xenium Gold and the solderless adapter. Needneed to say my order was processed and in no time flat they took my money and said it would be shipped.

6/5/07 (a WEEK later) I contact them and very nicely inquire about my order. Not too long after that (the same day) I get an eail from "Jan" stating"
"We have been waiting for our last shipment of xenium golds from the
Xodus team, sadly we have been told they will not be shipping anymore chips
out, as these have been discontinued
".
Note that their website when I ordered listed Xenium as IN STOCK. I should have canceled right then, but I was swayed by their recommendation I order the SmartXX v3 instead. because it had more memory and came with more stuff. "Jan" then stated:
"[b]These chips with the v1.0-v1.5 Adapter are the same price as the
Xenium GOLD
".
I decided that was fine and emailed them saying I would accept the alternate order ONLY if it came with a solderless adapter for Xbox v1.1. Here was "Jan's" reply only one day later (6/6/07):
"[color=#CC0000]Ok we will ship you the SmartXX V3 with 1.0-1.5 solderless adapter, it
also comes with a 1.6 adapter. We will email you with your tracking info when your order ships.
Thank you
Jan[/color]"

I felt good about it as they finally started responding to my emails.
6/7/2007 (12 days after my original order date):
I am emailed my tracking # and the site to go to to track it. Finally iot's on it's way...I thought.

6/8/07 I check the shipping site ad no info shows. I call the shipping company and give them my tracking #. They tell me if no infrmationshows then they have not been asked to pick up the package yet. I email "Jan" asking why they say they shipped the package, but no inforation shows.

6/10/07 Jan replies only stating that the tracking # canbe used on the shippers site to track the package. I track it again on the shipping website. No info. I called the shipping comapny again and they toldl me the same thing...no info...nothing shipped. I email "Jan" again and explain I placed my orignal order on 5/29 and it's now closing in on 3 weeks and if they ca't get me some status of the package I'm demanding a refund and reporting them as fraudulent. At this point I'm so angry I don't even bother to think to just walk away. Too bad for me.

6/11/07 I send another email this time ranting a little bit more. I typicaly don't like to be hostile, but the fire pours from my finger tips. Poor "Jan".

6/12/07 Somewhere deep inside I feel my latest rant to "Jan" may have gotten a litle personal. I decide to send an email stating I apologize for the personal rant, but I want my product. Later on that day "Jan responds with:
"We apologize for the delay in response to your email.
Your order has been shipped
".
Notice on the 10th "Jan" said it shipped, and now all of a sudden after threats "Jan" says 2 days later it shipped. Hmmm... ANyway I track the package and IT SHOWED UP! At last maybe I'll get my order...maybe.

6/13/07 (16 days after my orginal order) My order shows up. I was not home and DHL didn't leave it on my porch. I leave the proper DHL paperwork to have tem leave it tomorrow. I'm pumped.

6/14/07 I dash home from work and THERE IT IS!!!!!!! I am excited. I rip open the package and begin sorting the parts. I see the mod chip, I see som of the other nick-nacks it came with. There is the software CD, there is the solderless adapter for the 1.6...but... hey wait a minute... the one item I told them they HAD to send me in order for me to agree to changing my order from the Xenium was the solderless adapter for the Xbox 1.1. Guess what. It's not there!!!!!!! I check and double check again. I readu pin themanuals and online docs to make sure the Spider can't be used on any earlier versions other ten 1.6. It seems to check out. I don't have the solderless adapter "Jan" said they'd ship (see 6/5/07 above). I email "Jan" that day and explain the situation and that I don't have the correct solderless adapter.

6/15/07 "Jan's" mind must be slipping. "Jan" responds to my email about NOT having the proper solderless adapter by sending me a link on how to install the modchip with that solderless adapter. However, "Jan" does not address the fact theydidn't ship what they promised they would.

6/16/07 (19 days after my original order) At this point I reply and demand either they overnight me the correct adapter or schedule a DHL pickup at their expense to get their chip. No reply

6/17/07 No reply

6/18/07 I email every address there is on their website, and even call their "customer service" line which states they are open 11a-5pm M-F EST. I quickly (in seconds) get shuffled off to voicemail. I leave a voicemail leaving my order # and explaining the situation and my callback #. No reply.

6/19/07-Today (3 WEEKS after my origianl order) NO reply as of yet to any of the eail addresses (of course the auto reply all responds from the same email address. Obvioulsy there is only 1 email account. I will update this if I ever hear from them again. I checked their website today and it STILL

IN SUMMARY: DO NOT Order from these JACK HOLES
A) They STILL have the Xenium Gold listed as in stock on their site. Xbox-Modchips.com is a Bait ad Switch operation for sure.

B ) THey will say anythign to get you to order what they want you to order

C) It seems tey don't have ANYTHING in stock no matter what their site says

D) Once they ship you your order (no matter how wrong or incomplete it is) they no longer give a rip about you and you may be stuck with an incomplete order and a bill for the whole thing.

I think their billing sucks. I ordered a modchip. A few days later I was told it was out of stock, then I replied for a refund. I sent another e-mail 5 days later, nothing. 2 weeks later I had to ask again and threatened to report the transaction. From there I was issued the refund about a day or 2 later. If that was how their sales/billing was. I don't think I want to know the rest of the company.

I realized on 06-19, I had accidentlly ordered the controller case, so I attempted to call them to have it removed from my order since it did not appear to have been shipped yet. It was within their listed support hours, but there was no answer so I left voice mail, and opened a online support request.

I still never receive a response to my phone call or online request. However later that night I did receive the following email.

Not what I wanted, but hey it is communication.

So I reviewed the options they presented, and found a way to make it work for me, and if fiured hey perfect chance to get the unwanted controller case removed from the order.

First I place an order, then you tell me that what I order is not in stock and will most likely not be in stock any time soon. So you suggest an alternate option, I review the information, and even though it is not what I had ordered I agree and come up with a way it will still work for me.
As part of the change I request that the order be upgraded to faster shipping, since it is a week after when I had placed the the order. This results in being told once again that what I have requested is out of stock. So I respond by requesting that the order be canceled.
My cancellation request receives absolutely no response. I send a request for update and get told that my order will ship on Monday. NOT WHAT I HAVE REQUESTED, but I figure to heck with it and at that point fighting it further will just delay my order further, and since I have requested overnight shipping it will finally be here on Tuesday. Well to repeat my earlier statement it is now Wednesday. I have not received my delivery, I have not received my refund, I have not received anything I have asked for. I had opened a support request with your online system, and received no response, I called your support number during your business hours with no response.
At this point I don't know why I am bothering to write this email, since I have not gotten any real response from this company.
At this point my requests are very simple, cancel my order and issue my requested refund. Once this is done have someone, anyone call me and inform me that at least this request has been complied with. I have fairly limited recourse in the event you don't issue the refund, other then disputing the charge with the credit card company, but it is cheaper for you company to issue the refund the get the charge back, and faster for me if you just follow through with it.


No response to this request either. I have called twice today during their listed support hours, and yet to speak with a person. My email received a series of replies from automated systems advising me it would be getting looked into, but no actual reply from a person. the only reason I am even bothering is because it is is faster and easier for both parties if they simply refund my card then to deal with a charge back.

Heck the only reason I am even posting this in here it that I was reading through it and they appeared to respond to people here, so was hoping I might get some response from them.

Hey xbox-modchips.com if you do read this, I want my money back, unless you can tell me right now today 06-28 that my "original" order will shipped today for delivery to me on 06-29.


In closing, I would not recommend ordering from them. Period ever. There are a lot of other options that appear to have much better customer service.

as with everyone else I am writing because for me also I ordered a premodded ps2 clear case and have been waiting in vain for any response. They did respond with a mail confirming I changed my shipping address and will contact me with a shipping number when it is shipped. With everyone I feel the customer service is the worst and no replies are sent to me in a timely fashion. As with the other post if the company reads this please contact me with a shipping time frame as you have recieved payment and I have not recieved any info on purchased item. thankyou

Ordered it on a wednesday night, got the confirmation email and such almost immediately, shipment information on thursday morning, and DHL ground had the package at my door by friday morning, 3 days total from order placement to open package in my apartment ready to install. This shipment wasn't overnight rush delivery nor was it second day air, it was pure DHL ground. Total distance to destination? From Ontario Canada to Dallas Texas.

I'll be ordering from this site again whenever I need a different console modded. Why?
A) Couldn't find a better price for the Xecuter chip anywhere else

Very bad experience. I placed an order with them with expedited shipping, but my card wasn't even billed until 13 days later. Then 6 days later, their help desk claimed they didn't even get the payment. Finally 8 days after that, after threating them with fraud charges through my card, they finally acknowledged that they had received the money but were out of both the chip and case I ordered almost a month previous.

They (if their is more than one person) do not respond to emails or help desk tickets for days on end. They don't return phone calls or even answer the phone during "business hours", period. I don't know how long it will take to get my refund. It will probably come through the credit card fraud procedure I started instead of through them.

Let's see how this goes, I placed the order over labor day weekend. I was shocked by the lack of details in the summary and followup email(lack of contact info). I went with them because they ship APO, and I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan--Didn't want to pay double shipping, shipping it home then having someone ship it.

Themodchipstore.com also ships APO but only sometimes...when they feel like it, they redirected my last order home and DHL delievered it to the wrong address. Haven't heard from them since. DHL tells me i need written permission to file a claim

Ever notice that every person who indicates that their order came right away with no problems has one post to their credit? It looks like the company set up a bunch of new accounts to create phony good reviews on them.

I wish I would have found this section of the board before ordering from these schiesters.
I ordered the Xenium gold last Friday and I cannot get them to respond to anything.

What he is telling me is that he processed 868 orders from August 14 to sept 14 ?? He couldnt possibly have done that much business in one month's time. If he had done that much business then they can afford to have someone actually answer the phones and ship orders.

I ordered the Xenium Gold on 9-14-07 and I am still waiting for a ship date. I threatened them via email that I want the money or the product. I told them that if I dont get a response by 5pm sept 21,2007 then I was going to file a complaint with the credit card company.

Does anyone have their shipping address?

Add another victim. Apperently, this company also goes by AmericanXboxModchips.com - as I was having major problems with the company even responding to E-mail inquiries. They finally responded with the typical "its not us - its the supplier" cr*p! They finally refunded my money, stating they were waitiing for supplies, so I look for another modchip supplier. Unfortunately I found Xbox-Modchips.com (same company - different name). I feel like an idiot, ordering again from these same jerk-offs. I sent an E-mail to Jan, seeing if she would again refund my money. Feeling extremely lucky the first time, I can only hope that the refund occurs.

Bottom line: Stay away from AmericanXboxModchips.com & Xbox-Modchips.com (Same company) grr.gif grr.gif grr.gif

yea i ordered a matrix chip from them and that was about o i dont know like a month ago and ive sent 4 e-mails (1 threatning one) and ive called and left a messege and i still get no response to any of them i dont know if this company is even in business still or wtf is going on but its really pissing me off ... i dont even have a goddamn tracking number for fucks sake .... in short im out 80 bux and im prob never gonna see it from them so i hope those canadian bastards can have fun with my 80 bux >.< o yea and DONT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

He charged my card the $150 bucks weeks ago, and since then have not responded at all to various emails and voice mails. (They don't answer the phone), Judging by the messages that some have posted here, it's clear this is some pimply-faced kid screwing people from his parents house. How is he still operating?

Let me join the chorus of "wish I'd read these pages first."

I ordered the Xenium in mid -August. After a month's wait, I got the by-now familiar note from 'Jan' about the item no longer being shipped, and offering the by-now familiar 'upgrade' to a better chip.

I quickly said yes.

Predictably, I've not received anything since then, nor any response to my emails.

I'm lucky: I can afford (not happily) to lose a few bucks. What angers me most is the knowledge that this company appears to be taking advantage of lots of modders, many of whom probably can't afford the hit.

Ok, xbox-modchips.com... first time I ordered a Xecuter 3.0 with Xapter adapter, I got the product in my mailbox 3 days after the order confirmation, WOW!

BUT

Over 3 weeks ago, I placed another order for a friend for a Xecuter 2.6lite with Xapter adapter... well, sent over 10 mails, called over 5 times, no answer (as for all the 100+ other users who posted here). After reading 5 pages of post in this topic, I realised that I will never get my chip, simple as that.

So, from what I have read and my personnal experience, you have a 30% chance to receive your goods in 2-4 days, 60% chance to never receive it (and still be billed of course) and a 10% chance to never received exactly what you paid for.

AND OF COURSE, A 100% TO NEVER GET ANY ANSWER TO YOUR PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS

I made the order on 10-9-07. I received the "processed" email and the money was taken out on the 11th. I didn't hear anything back from them so I started leaving messages and help desk tickets to find out when they were going to ship my product. (smartxx chip) I paid the extra shipping to get it faster hahaha. Well today I was checking my account and the money has been put back in. I don't know what happened, I didn't ask for the money I just wanted to know when they were going to ship my product. I have never gotten a live body on the phone... maybe they went ahead and shut their doors, and I got lucky.

At least I may find a supplier that I can get a chip from now that I know that you have this section (which is a great idea thanks)

Well here is an update. They came and took the money out of my account again on 10/24/2007. They still haven't sent my stuff, and I still haven't heard from them. I guess it is time to get Visa after them.

They DID take the money back out of my account on 10/24 I NEVER heard back from them (the messages and emails I left them and all of the phone calls) I sent an email to EVERY email address I found for them and let them know that I was going to get VISA involved and they magically answered all of my tickets saying that they have refunded my money and that it would take 1-10 days for it to show up on my card. They also had the nerve to offer me a $10 off coupon for my next order of $40 or more........They must be on drugs. After all of this crap they think that I will mess with them again....

I SUGGEST THAT YOU ALL STAY CLEAR FROM XBMC, and let anyone that you can know what a piece of crap they are... maybe no one else will get duped by them. I have NEVER had so much trouble with an online company

Well, thery are worse than ever, actually I think they are going, or have gone. out of business. I ordered a very fancy high-end XBOX 360 from them and received it after many weeks. It failed right away and after many emails I got someone called Jimmy to email me and said they honor the warranty and gave me an RMA#. I sent it back and it was signed for by HINTZ (I'm sure that's a real name) on August 7, 2007. After several emails, support tickets, and phone messages left, not one response! It has been three months now and I don't expect to get it back. I will have to file a small claims court suit against them now. What a pity that couldn't just send the box back. Unbelievably poor business ethics. The BBB near Waco, TX (Harker Heights, TX) where they installed and shipped the system from, said they have had many complaints and they actually tried to conact them for me but, of course, no replies.

I ordered the XCM Xbox 360 High Speed Air Cooler w/ LCD & Addon Fan #16302 and HALO CASE MOD for my 360 on Oct 10th, the money was taken out right away then put back in a couple of days later then retook back out on the 24th which is fine. I had used my mothers bank account and then paid her back that Friday. My mother passed away the 15th and the bank account is now closed so I can't dispute said charge. It really sucks that it seems like I lost my $135. I've called several times and left messages and I currently have 4 help tickets open and nothing. Is there a real e-mail out there or just the e-mail that posts to the help forum?

Okay I guess it's my turn to tell my sob-story.

Immediately after the order was placed I was charged and the money was taken from my bank account. I paid with a debit card with a master-card logo. Anyways I contacted 2 of thier appropiate departments for orders status question and item inquiries. 13 days later still no reply. I even called thier phone number which immediately goes to voicemail, nomatter what time of day or day of the week you call. I left a message with my name, order number, contact phone number, and my question and asked them to call me back. Nothing. Today I finally e-mailed them demanding a refund. I should have read up here first, but I was too trusting, I've never been scammed on the internet before and I must say it sucks. I am at a loss of $58.17 and after reading up here in this thread, I am afraid I am not going to be refunded. Is there anything I can do? Is there anyway to get my money back? Money isn't exactly something i have a lot of nor can I afford to lose any.

Has anyone from this thread from Sept '07 to present has their situation fixed? If not, I would recommend that NOBODY do business with this shop until all outstanding issues have been fixed. I was contacted by one member.. and when I saw the state of this this thread, I started to un-invis many posts that a moderaotr made invisible. While they were usually following the rules of this site, at this point it's far more import to show the poor record of this shop, and to warn people to stay away from it until it has fixed the issues.

I ordered mid-december and received everything last week...after 3 voicemails, several emails, etc.

I would definitely not do business again with them. They never returned my calls or emails, gave me any updates, or anything that normal customer service entails. Yes, I'm glad I got my parts without having to contact my credit card company, but it took WAY too long and they have ZERO customer service. Seriously, it is non-existent.
