I ordered a chameleon mod chip from xbox-wired.com and was surprised. These guys have excellent live customer support, they send yo **** first thing in the morning and also send the 1.3 version (latest version) of the chameleon chip. I found their order tracking to be accurate and received my package swiftly. I still cannot tell anybody who reads this exactly how superb their customer support is. Its a couple of geniuses who aren't looking for your account and order info for half an hour while your on the line, and are willing to help you for prolonged periods of time. I recommend purchasing that new dms x-b.i.t mod chip from these guys when it comes out cuz of a great price and you can rest assured they will get it the second it comes out.

Mod Chip Buyers:
Xbox-Wired is without any doubt THE place to get your modchip. I sent an email inquiring about the Xenium around 11:30 pm EST and to my surprise I received a reply within two hours. That's 1 o'clock in the morning! I then spoke with the main guy, Mike, on the phone and he quickly assured me that no matter which option for installing the chip, I *should* be able to do it, but if I *wasn't* then I could send my xbox in and they'd take care of the rest for a small price. He sent me an mpeg movie of him installing a solderless Chameleon in under 15 seconds to assure me that *anyone* can do it. So, I hung up and logged into the website to make a purchase. Quick, easy, intuitive interface for shopping. My only complaint about the entire process is their lack of a "real" SSL Certificate. I was very glad to see that my data was being encrypted during the order, but the Certificate was not authored by one of my trusted providers (Verisign, etc). However, I placed my order. As it was a pre-order, I was a bit concerned about the actual retail price of the chip, but that's the price you must pay to be the first to have the latest and greatest. I received an email earlier tonight letting me know that the product has shipped, my card has been charged, and giving me the tracking number. My only complaint here is that no exact amount was totaled in my invoice as to how much *actually* was charged. This is important and I feel needs to be worked out. It is a bit unsettling to not know exactly how much was charged to my card and that I must wait for the monthly statement. Regardless, this was a much smoother transaction than I had imagined.

I ordered a Xenium yesterday with next day air shipping. Five minutes after I finished the transaction, a guy from xbox-wired called me to inform me that it was too late for the overnight shipment to make it out in time. He then offered to call around to see if they had any local dropoff centers where he could take it. He called back after checking around (with no luck) and even offered me a discounted shipping rate for the inconvenience.

I never expected the package to go out that day as it was already after 7:00, but the fact that the guy made an effort expedite it was impressive.! The speedy response and heplful representative prove these guys put customer service high on their list.

I have not yet received my package, but based on the service I have received so far, I would definetely do business with xbox-wired again.

I'd love to buy a Xenium modchip from xbox-wired, but they're charging over 42 USD for shipping it to Belgium. That's almost as much as the chip itself! I'd gladly pay a little more for quality shipment and reliability, but this seems a little exaggerated (in comparison: divineo.com charges 7 USD; their ratings suck, though ).

Since the xbox-wired hosts seem to be checking this forum quite regularly: any chance that you'll be using other (cheaper) methods of shipment in the not-too-distant future?

These guys have helped me out tremendously! I killed a MB in a friend's XBox and needed a replacement. I spoke with these guys on the phone, and they had a replacement MB and HDD in my hands the NEXT DAY!!!! The board worked perfectly, and I was able to repair my friend's XBox. Thanks!!!!

I just wanted to tip my hat to GateKeeper and the whole xbox-wired crew. I actually spoke with GateKeeper for all of my questions, concerns, and issues.. which consisted of me wanting to expidite my shipping. A problem arose from that and GK was quick to rectify it. Thanks for that.

I actually took the time to register for this board just to put a note about xbox-wired. My order for a Xenium shipped the same day I placed it! I've never seen a bad thing said about the service from these guys, and just wanted anyone who was up in the air about where to order from to know that they need look no further.

I really only have one complaint: I had to use Internet Exploder to order (I hate IE). My only other options were Opera (SHOULD have worked in opera) and Firebird (I didn't expect it to work for Firebird). I never use Nutscrape, but I'd imagine it works ok there, or with Mozilla.

The guys are pretty quick, and aside from SSL (not too strong) I was ok with the security. I also like for shops to take their own pictures of products, including packagine and ENTIRE contents...I've yet to see a "package contents" pic or list for the Xenium.

Xbox-Wired has excellent support. I didnt even buy a modchip from them and when i called them having troble they helped me out instantly. I was very impressed with them. All my future modding purchases will be made through them.

All I have to say is that xbox-wired provided me with excellent service, friendly customer service and the fastest shipping I have ever seen. The whole transaction was completed within 24 hours. I Will buy from them, and only them again!

I've been waiting until my chip came in to post a review.. but then figured hell why should I make xboxwired wait because I was too cheap to order anything faster then ground... (UPS ground... ugggg) Let me say, these guys are top notch. A+ service... they have always responded to my emails in a timely fashion, my chip was shipped the day they got them in. Unreliable. Promised delivery, but 4 days past the date.

Placed an order (#644) on 1/24 with 2 day shipping for an (as then shown) Xenium and just got a response about it being shipped today.. 1/29... Not all that happy right now... hopefully it will get better (Note: I sent them a PayPal payment via a different email address than I provided which may have had something to do with itl but its no excuse since I sent them an email the same day informing them as such)

Will update if they prove themselves via product etc. to be better than experience has been so far.

Xbox-wired had a major stock screwup this week, and they were very up front with customers about it. They found another supplier to fill their orders, and upgraded everyone's shipping for free. They are currently taking no more orders until they get it straightened out. Additionally, they are active here on the boards.

I would definately shop with them again.

i ordered mine last week and received the email today the delivery is for feb 2 but it will be delivered today this guy lives 2 hours from me so it's really fast to get things here.

I ordered my chip about a week ago and it arrived yesterday. Considering a weekend was in there and I chose ground shipping, I was pleased. After reading the reviews, this seemed to be the xbox-scene sponsor that wasn't getting negitive reviews, and I see why.

My only issue was with the phone number which was listed differently a few different places. The one on the website worked for me.

The chip (a Xenium, which the had in stock) worked and I got it on time. What more could I ask for? A FREE CHIP?!? Well- no free chip, but I didn't have any surprises.

If you're thinking about a Xenium, it works great. I had a good flash VERY quickly.

Oh yeah- they don't accept a five-finger discount here .

Well .. i have 2 Xenium chips ... and i have to say .. after engineering and doing a probe of the xbox and making my own mod chip design and then building it .. that i love there chip so much better then what i could do .. been 15 years since i have done any electronics engineering work .. and i dove into the xbox for fun .. to see if i could build a mod chip .. and i was able to make one .. this was of course way back at the start of modding .. when we were all sharing info on xboxhacker.net and realized that it was possible to make one .. it was fun .. but this Xenium is way past what i could do .. and i have to say .. JOB WELL DONE.. who cares about the boot screen .. there .. not there .. i realy dont care either way .. i love the fact that the OS boots first .. so many options .. hell . things i cant even think of can be done with this chip .. realy if you want plain and simple .. use a cheap mod .. if you want to expand your options and have one of the best mod chips out then use Xenium ... i realy am impressed with this chip . i have had no troubles installing them ... or using them .. granted there are some issues with the OS and some controller and addon combos but they wont be there long .. this is the chips for people that want to be on the edge of what can be done with a xbox and a mod chip .. i get all my chips from XBOX-WIRED.com and let me say they kick ass .. it was a pure pleasure to deal with these guys and i cant say how much there professional attitude and there service and respect to there customers has made me a customer for life ... its nice to deal with a company that does what they say and puts there customers first ... NICE JOB XBOX-WIRED.COM.. i dont normaly open my mouth because .. hell .. i dont have much to say .. but i thought i would give my $0.02 and pat OzXodus and XBOX-WIRED.COM on the back for damn good work .. realy .. its a nice chip .. but being on the edge of tech can cause you to run into issues every now and again ... just hang in there .. as new OS's are released for this chip you will grow to love it .. and find yourself forgetting about the minor problems you had at the start .. but above all .. try and have fun .. life is way to short to worry over everything ..

sent in brand new xbox with samsung drive for xenium install. chip seems to work fine, but my brand new samsung drive was no longer in it. wonderful way for them to get parts i guess. that's a pretty crooked thing to do. also it came preflashed with evox m7, which i have no interest in but isn't that a no-no. seems like a shady company for an XS sponsor. had considered coming back to for smartxx and x3 but getting burned once was enough.

I am a retard when it comes to modded xboxs, so I had to call and get help for my box. One of the guys at xbox-wired helped me out for atleast a hour and thats was after they closed so i guess thanks are in order. I would have to recommand these guys for noobs like me to the most advanced.

Ok after reciving your email the day before yesterday .. i was shocked that what happen so i start looking for answer that why his drive not in his xbox ..
Customer order Customer Install with a 120 GiG harddrive which we had to get for him and he send in his own chip..

On the day we did the install i was here at the store by my self as most of you know i live here now i have so much work that i even answer the phone here sometimes at 2.00 AM .. any way i had total 8 Custom install for that day , it was weekend and i had no one there to help me .. so i ask my brother to help me with opening the Xbox so i can get to them faster and get them done by monday ..
my brother dose not know anything about xbox or how it work i just show him how to open it and give them to me than close them .. he dosen't know thw Diff between Samsung drive and thompson to him there the same there just a drive that load the game ...

Well make the store short there where 2 order under the name of michael for that day .. " One of michel will be our customer with the mix up drive" so some where the drive got mix up..

What I do to fix this problem after getting his email .. Open bran new xbox pull out the Samsung drive and Over nighted to him with a free chip and took full responsiblity for not checking my brother work ..

customer has call me and he got his Drive and will send back the old drive to me he was happy and as a compnay i did what i could to make him happy .. i hope he will post back a reply about this matter , that is been taken care off..

PS about the M7 Bios well Mr customer since we going talk about in order to install you drive and transfer the MS dash File From the orginal Drive i have to put a bios on the chip inorder to make your new 120 gig drive work and than lock the Drive you show me a way to do this with out using no no Bios as you stated ..
Also for some one who is using a moded xbox with 120 GIG i don't think should say anything since what you doing is a big no no .. any way this matter is resolved and i can show proof of tracking that a new drive and free chip was send .

I ordered the new Xenium Chips and was really inpressed with its features. But most of all, I was impressed with the service i received from xbox-wired. Everything went flawlessly. I ordered 2 chips and had them shipped to my job. They got the order out on the same day, and actually received it before the due date. Xbox-wired will be getting all of my chip business from now on. Great Job!!! Keep up the good work.
