I know it may seem like beating a dead horse, but these guys are absolute thieves. They took the money, but the order has been in a "packaging" state for almost a month. I've sent emails asking them to refund my money with no reply.

so far ive had a pretty bad experience with smt. i placed an order for an xecuter 3ce with 2-3 day shipping. have been charged already, didnt receive a tracking number yet (shoulda been here today, but im giving them until tomorrow), and all the ways to contact them are shut down. im worried that they just pretty much stole my money and im not going to receive anything. i didnt look into any of the prior reports and didnt check the bbb until it was too late.
i just did try to email nolga and am waiting and hoping to get a reply with a tracking number so i can at least see where my %@$&ing package is.

Yet another "SMT stole my money!" case..i ordered on the 15th of November with overnight shipping, i needed it by Friday the 18th at the latest. Meanwhile my order sat at "New Order" status for 4 days so i emailed them on Friday morning (even though they say its down) and told them that i needed this chip today, hence i ordered on TUESDAY with overnight shipping so i need them to cancel my order and refund my credit card. In a rather surprising move, i just checked my credit card and it has been refunded by SMT. I don't know whats up with them - they used to be great - but they are absolutely horrible now.

BTW, Divineo rocks - ordered on Wednesday night and got the chip here friday.

So yeah, DO NOT BUY from System-Mods unless you've got money to burn.

Well, first off I would like to say, I've used this company for years and it sucks to see they have gone to this.

I would appreciate it if xbox-scene would post something in the first post to let us lazy readers no that there is problems with this online vendor at the moment. I came to this exact post on sunday, just to get the right link.. did not think to check the last page and see that they have fallen apart.

Well, so i made my order for a X 2.6ce and a programmer Last night. Sunday, November 20 th 2005 - Order Number: 84275

2nd day air. No confrimation email yet or tracking number.

I called my friend at the bank (where my mastercard is issued from ) and had her look it up. System mods or authorize.net got my authorization number for this transaction already.. with 12 hours of me doing it. No i have to wait till it shows on my statement to file a claim.

I have called authorized.net to see if they know they are helping crooks.. and they were unaware. I emailed abuse@authorize.net explaining what is going on. I will wait for a reply.

for now i guess i sit back and wait.. I am not gonna stress about my $52.00.. I guess I will just contact friends of mine the in law business and see what we can do to mess these guys up.. I really want to find out what state they are hosting this site in and maybe find a name.

Ok - i take back what i said - they DID NOT refund my credit card, the transaction just disappeared for a few days. Its posted now and i'm calling my card company tomorrow to dispute it. These guys seriously need to get taken down, at least authorize.net should stop authorizing sales for them.

you've got to be kidding me...i ordered a chip from them on 11/14...with 2 day shipping...its now 11/29 still nothing...i didn't see any charges taken out for it so i wrote an e-mail to em canceling it then re-ordered again with my dads credit card...i wish i had read here...but anyways...still nothing on this new order(which is over night shipping)....god damn it.

I had ordered from system-mods many times before, with no issues - until now.

I placed an order last Monday, and my CC was charged the full amount - but over a week later, my online order status is still not updated, there's nobody answering the phone, the IRC channel is closed, there are no replies to my emails, etc. etc.. I called my CC company to stop payment on the order today. Time to trash these SMT t-shirts I have... and time to find a new retailer.

I used to have no problems w/ SMT, but now my order too has been sitting there for a month with absolutely nothing happening. I can't get through on the IRC via website or MIRC, the Phone is busy, I'm cancelling my credit card purchase.

Does anyone know where else I can get an Xecuter 2.6 so I don't have to resolder everything for another chip?

Well, I still have not been contacted back by Authorize.net. But my bank fraud department is looking into this for me. They are doing there investigation before they credit me back the $52.00.

for those of you that are looking for a good alternative shop. I have now ordered 2 times from www.extreme-mods.com and have recieved my product fast .

While XS has been removing Bad Sponsors from our listed Ads on the News page.. I'll take this time to remind people that this shop is NOT an official sponsor of Xs, and has not been for many, many months now. THey are still using our xs logos without permission. They have NOT paid us, (we still have the bounced cheques they sent though.. collecting dust). Their on again, off again rleationship with Xecuter seems to be back on.. I'm guessing someone decided to start paying their supplier again.

Hopefully.. System-mods can returns to scene dominance through actual good sales and service and financial responsibility. However, at this time.. the are NOT an XS sponsor, and given their recent past I recommend any doing biz with them do so with CAVEAT EMPTOR in mind. The recend posts in this thread are an indicator that things are not good with SMT.

As wity the other troubled shops, I do recommend that anyone not satisfied with long delays and weeks of unanswered emails and missing product contact their CC company/Paypal and have them reverse charges and investigate. It's the same advice I give to anyone with bad biz dealing with any shop, sponsor, or single scene members selling on xs.

While XS accepts, and take absolutely no responsibility regarding transactions, we don't like to see anyone needlessly screwed over and ripped off.

I am however hopeful that SMT can correct it's biz. First step.. satisfy these people with their current complaints.

I too have been ripped off by system-mods! I wish I would have read this post before I placed the order. The $42.00 was withdrawn from my account with the quickness, $30 for the chip and $12 for overnight delivery, and I still have not heard anything for them. I can't log into their website to view the order status, I can't get into thier chatroom on EFNET, and when I tried to call the tollfree number it has been disconnected.

I replaced my order with a differant retailer and my chip got here in 2 days. Let me restate what has been said in the last few posts:

Wow! Thank goodness for the scene. I was just placing a $300 order and somehow or another my debit card wasn't processing and it locked me out from ordering. I tried using the IRC channel, nothing... tried calling the 832 number, nothing.. so I said to myself, let me check the scene and see what's up and I see all this!!

Here's my real question tho...


WHY IN THE WORLD ARE THEY STILL ON TEAMXECUTER.COM's reseller list!! That's why I clicked it because I assumed I'd get a fair shot at a decent supplier. Also note that I usually order from modchipman.com but it has been down for over an hour with my $300 shopping cart just sitting there. Needless to say, I'm having a bad day when I have money to spend and cant. About to try Divineo. Would really like to know why they have them on their list tho. If I would of got ripped off, it would of tarnished my feelings for xecuter although I know in my heart it's not their fault, just feel they were leading me into the fire. It's easy to see from the month of post right here what's up and I think they should *update* a little more often. Thanks scene!

I'm giving these guys a try. I had ordered my chip from sysmods on 12/22/05 for a friend's daughter's xmas present. After 3 weeks of checking the mail, thinking it was because of an X-mas load, I logged on to see that my order had been "Canceled".

No refund as they posted I would receive or reply to email, as chanted by everyone else in this forum, but also every attempt afterwards in Re-Ordering resulted in a "Failed" order. I came here looking for anyone else that had problems after another friend let me know he couldn't order from them either. And wow! They really are flucked!

System-Mods has never let me down before.. I'm sure it was irresponsibility or something ghey like that. It shouldn't be a problem getting the funds from my bank refunded. Hell, I could just show them this forum. Anyways. Good luck to everyone. I'm giving extreme-mods a try.
