I ordered an X3 on 7/25 and it's now 8/6, i paid for overnight shipping because i needed it for my buddy who is moving, but i still haven't got it or heard anything from them yet. I've tried calling and sending emails - nothing.
my credit card was charged too, which sucks. i've bought at least 6 chips through them myself and i've had friends buy from them too, and i've never had any problems before - until now.
anybody know if they've gone out of business or something?

I ordered my X3 and XLCD from them on August 2, it's now August 7 and it still says "Packaging", I have 3 day shipping and it's still not shipped, what's wrong?
I havent noticed System-Mods wasn't on Team Xecuter's Official Xecuter Stores until now.
I ordered from them before and I never had a problem either, until now.

I have orderd from system-mods before with no problems and I was just getting ready to place and order and I am very glad I read through this thread before I did because it seams they are having a bunch of problems. I hope everyone gets there stuff!

Sounds like I'm not the only one with those problems. I ordered an X3, X3LCD, and X3Control Panel from them on monday with Overnight, cost me fucking $180 and still don't have them today. So far I'm giving this site a 4/10, because this is just awful.

I'm having a problem as well. I ordered and executer 2.6 with overnight shipping and still have not recieved my order. That was about 8 days ago when I placed the order. They sent me an email notice telling me that it had been shipped about 4 days after I ordered it but it still hasn't come in. I've always had problems with them posting a tracking number to my account late, but it's always come through. I tried calling their tech line and it connected me to someones residence in Texas after I listened to the menu options. He said he's gotten about 30 calls in the last week for system-mods and is about to have his number changed. I don't know what is going on but I think I'm going to call my credit card company as well and try to have the charge reversed.
I would recommend people stop buying from them until they get whatever problem they are having worked out.

I just want to say I have NEVER had any issues with SMT before. I have had nothing but good transactions with them. I buy all the chips I install from them. They have always shipped the day after I ordered them and come on time. The only bad transaction was one chip had a faulty switch, but they replaced it.

Wow, I don't know about other people, i ordered an 2.6 at 5:00pm local time, paid overnight expecting it in two days b/c of processing, but got it the very next morning! Worked great, only complaint is lack of selection and inventory.

I tried to order a x2.6 CE, but i ended up with all kinds of wires that have like 3 different plugs, none of which goto either the chip or switch panel, missing 2 wires, the pogo pins were busted in half. The wires looked like they were crushed with a pair of pliers. Not really sure exactly what i got. Hope they fix the problem ASAP. This is my first bad business with SMT...

I've been trying to contact system-mods for a week now and I haven't been able to get anyone. The live chat is down and hasn't come back up. Tried the toll free number, but can't get a live person.
I need to RMA a chip my friend ordered, we just can't get it to work. The xbox keeps doing the flashing red and green led.
I've run out of ways to try and get system-mods, so hopefully someone will help me out here. Thanks.

I have ordered around 30 chips from them since 2003. They are usually great, but now I have seen what everyone else is talking about. I just ordered 5 2.6's that according to their website, is in stock. It has been exactly 24 hours and my status is still "new order". It has never taken this long to get a status change. I dont know if they are behind or what. Their news page has no news about their status, the phone mailbox is full, and I have sent an email with no response. Come on SMT, get on the ball. You were my favorite, now I am second guessing. BTW, the reseller rating thread on Team Xecuter is closed, thought that was weird.

on 8/16/05 I ordered a 2.6 ce and a programmer and paid for 3 day select shipping well I finally got my package 8/23/05 7 days later I open it up and all they sent me was the programmer no chip

and it is impossable to get ahold of these people I have been tring for a week and there voicemail boxes are full and if it does ring some guy answers and come to find out he has nothing to do with them at all and he is changig his number I have seen about 10 emails to no avail so I think since they are only about a hour drive from me I am going to go over there and get my damn chip

got into packaging next morning and stil packaging.
Sent 3or 4 emails, no answer
Called over 10 times dif times of the day, no answer just "voice mail full call again later".
Chat support is giving error.
not 1st time they messup with 1 of my deliveries but 1st time that they force me to fill a fraud form with paypal.
I'm going to paypal filling fraud report right now and I suggest nobody buys from this very unprofessional and disrespectfull vendor ever.

I too am having the same problem. I ordered a 2.6 ce on 8/17 and the order still says 'packaging' on their site, and I can't get hold of them at all. I emailed them 7 days after placing the order telling them to cancel it, and the next day they finally billed my card. Since then I still can't get in touch with them via phone or the chat room or email. I'm going to do as someone above suggested and get my bank to dispute the charge, screw those bastards. I hope they do ship the card after I dispute it just so I can screw them even more. ANSWER YOUR PHONES YOU BASTARDS!

My order is still in packaging and it was ordered on the 18th of August. I started to get a chargeback on my credit card, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt and wait a little longer. After all, I have placed 8 seperate orders myself and had other people that wanted me to mod their stuff order from them as well and this is the first major problem I have had with them. I hope that they get back to how they used to be or even better. I am glad that the owner's (i assume) medical condition is gone or better and he gets everone there in line!! After all, I have recommended them several times and would like to continue on to do so. Everyone deserves a second chance. Just GET IT TOGETHER AND FAST!!!

I don't know what is going on with them but here is my dillemma. I ordered one simple programmer for my friend (I accidentally flashed his X2 chip with an X3 bios) and had selected overnight shipping. I ordered on 9/11/05. Today is 9/18/05 with no response from system-mods. I have emailed them multiple times, called every single day multiple times per day, with no answer. Of course my credit card has already been charged. The status on my order has been on "Ready to ship" for an entire week. I am absolutely infuriated.

I've ordered all my previous chips through this company. Seriously recosidering it, I ordered a chip next day air on Sunday. I assumed even with their 1 - 2 day waiting period, I'd get it Wednesday, maybe Thursday. Its Thursday, the provided tracking number doesn't show up in UPS's system, and the tracking number showed up in my account history on Tuesday.
You can't get a hold of them, all of the voicemail boxes are full, the Live Chat doesn't allow you to ask questions in the room.
Very upsetting because I've had faith in these people for a long time.

Am i being rippped off they wont answer their phones or e-mail and nolga wont answer his PM's. I've heard so much good about this company i'd hate to have to post some negative feedback they looked to be pulling out of a bad spell what happened.

I've purchased from SMT before and had no problem at all, been pleased. Heck, I imagine my last review (positive) is still in this thread somewhere. However, I too am having problems this time around. Ordered on the 17th, a couple days later they said it shipped and gave me tracking, but the tracking number doesn't work, just says "unable to track shipment", and the spiel about making sure you typed the number in correctly and such.
Coupled with the other recent reviews, I'm getting pretty nervous. Judging by my shipping, and when they said it shipped, it should have been here yesterday, but it still hasn't arrived and I'm beginning to think UPS doesn't have it. Hopefully it will arrive today, but if it hasn't arrived by Tuesday I think I'm going to have to challege the payment.
A shame something like this would happen to a shop that used to be one of the good guys, but I have to agree with the others... better to stay as far away as possible until they get these issues resolved.

I'm really pissed off, as I have a customer waiting on a programmer I ordered. I have had great service from them in the past, what the hell is going on? not sure it needs to be mentioned but the same thing with me...
ordered a x2.6 programmer on 9/15/2005, and it is now 10/5/2005. still nothing. Looked at my bank transactions, and it says they withdrew the money for it, and it says complete on their website, but i dont have anything and the tracking number doesnt work on UPS website. I would also like to know what is going on.

update as of yesterday 10-4-05 the system-mods web page reports under the news section that the recent delays were due to the hurricane evacuation and all orders will ship this week with a "freebie" so maybe we didn't all get screwed...they also claim that the irc chat and e-mail will be back up this week. I guess we just have to wait and see what happens at this point hopefully this will all work out in the end.

The thing that really stinks, is that TeamX just placed and endorsement on their site of SMT so that is why the last wave of these people are in jeopardy of losing their cash. I would have tried them too based on TeamX's post on their site. Too bad. Back in the day my friends and I all bought our original mods from SMT.

10/04/05 We are back in full swing. We had to evacuate last week due to the hurricane that didnt even hit us, hours and hours of traffic for nothing. UPS is back on theire regular schedule and will come by today to pick up all packages. So if you have an order thats untrackable please be patient you will have your order by the end of the week including a freebie. All of our customer service tiers will be back on track in the next few days.Anyone received thier package yet? That went up on their site Tuesday I believe, but still no working tracking number, and still no package for me yet.

I ordered 3 Executer 2.6's my order number is 83747. I placed the order on Oct. 2nd.
It seemed like it took forever for the status to change from New Order to Ready to Ship.
it has been in that status since last Friday. heh and I paid extra for 3 day shipping figuring it would get to me by the next week at lease. I goto their site and it says email down, Livechat down. only thing is a phone number and that is full of voicemail. The only thing I could do was leave a page and of course noone called me back.
I wish I would have read this thread before ordering. The only reason I used system-mods is because my friend recommended them. After reading through the entire history of this thread, I see there were times when people thought they were getting ripped off, but it turned out ok. I am hoping this will be the case. It also occurred to me that this Nolga guy could be in a hospital on his last legs. He talked about a disease he was suffering from. I hope he gets better but it is bad business to try to operate a company and just let things go. You should at least put up a message on the site saying you are not able to continue business and will have to close down. then disable the shopping cart and links so no-one can place new orders. Then fufill all existing orders. This way, your burden will not overwhelm you. If I dont receive my order soon, I will contact my credit card company and go thru the motions for credit back to the card. I will also choose another reseller and buy another mod chip.
IF I receive my order and all is good, I will be happy to post some good comments for SMT.

I never had such vast changes of opinion in such a short period of time.
At first, my status of order has never changed from "packaging", and after reading all of these horrible reviews, I was sure I was scammed.
A week later, I check my statement and the charge for the chip+shipping was completely gone. Like SM refunded my order. I was happy (in a way) to at least get my money back.
Now, I check my statement again, the charge is back. However, the [before bogus] tracking number works, and the package is now on its way.
I'm glad I didn't order an xenium yesterday, otherwise I would be stuck with an extra chip.
Anyhow, anybody else like me? Looks like SM is getting their act together.
