ok ive already left some comments on this site but to just update my situation i emailed this guy and asked if he could just switch the x2.3blite+ (what i ordered) to the xenium chip since i would prob. get it faster and he agreed to do it. Even though the price diff. was a few $$ more that way but he still did it! I totally agree the site is misleading but like i said in the previous post all my emails are answered same day i will update later on the shipping of the chip the site says "now in stock" so maybe it will be sent out today or monday or maybe its just that damn site being misleading again lmao

I had the same problem with system mods. I purchased my chip and s video cable on december 29th, received a package on the 13th. The packaged contained the mod chip, but NOT the s video cable. Furthermore, the LTP port cable for my 2.3 pro was not included with the chip. I've called several times and left messages (I can never seem to get a live person on the phone...) and sent several emails on the 13th and the days following, but have not yet received a reply from system mods. The problem is when there are only a few select retailers that offer a particular product you are at their mercy...

Well I guess it is time for an update. I ordered my 2.3b lite + way back on December 22, 2003 when the website said "Fully in Stock". I was looking forward to the chip being shipped on January 19, 2004 after the ETA has been changed about 4 times. Imagine my surprise when I checked the website and the ETA was changed yet again, now to January 23. I paid for express shipping when the mod chip was supposibly in stock and now it will be a month and still no mod chip. Now I did not receive any notice that the chip was not being shipped or that there were any delays until I emailed them asking what was going on. Oh and my credit card has been charged for the last month. When the found out that the delays were going to be this long the least they could have done was refund the charges until they had the product to shipp. I am also annoyed that they are not going to refund the extra money I paid for express shipping since in my opinion getting the product over a month late is NOT express shipping. Well I just checked their info page, I don't see anything about the 23rd. If does now say shipping backorder could take from the 19th to the 20th, when before it just said the 19th. I checked on their home page, nothing, and even added a few chips to my cart, they all just say "backordered". Today (tonight) is the 19th, and tomorrow is the 20th. So I expect to see it being in the hands of the shipping company tomorrow. If not, I'm cancelling my order, no turning back, as well as leaving a slew of four letter words in that same email. IMO all of us in the backorder boat might as well cancel if we don't see proof tomorrow it's on it's way to us. Imagine everyone that has been precharged on these (and lied to and ignored) cancelling at once. Teach a bad company a good lesson. And with so many of us here pointing out what's been going on, you think they will still have the same xbox business? Anyone have any suggestions for a company with good service and these lite pluses and pro's in stock?

It only gets better. New to their info page:
"All non - cod Plus orders before December 31 2003 should ship and the remainder of the plus chips will be used to fill the 2004 orders. Basically if your not seeing trackiing infrormation with your tracking number by Thusday Jan 22 (if you used Fedex the package will be there Wednesday) then that means your order is not going to ship out till yet the next shipment ."
So I "SHOULD" be able to see (not in hand) my order by the 22nd. Experience is telling me I possibly won't even get that.
And just because we just can't help but have more good times with this place, their is ANOTHER update on their info page:
"IF YOUR ORDER DOES NOT SHOW RESULTS BY THURSDAY THEN IT WONT GO OUT TILL NEXT STOCK ARRIVES WHEN FACTORY OPENS AROUND JANUARY 30TH. If you want to cancel the order email ordered@modchip.ca with message subject CANCEL there will be a $8 fee to reverse the charge to cover merchant fees for processing. There is no charge to upgrade to the Xenium check it out you will be happy you did!"
Translation: if we haven't screwed you enough times by now, how about we screw you more. You can have option a, wait until you forget what an xbox is, or give us more money for another chip that we claim is in stock. There is option C, which is acknowledge that we screwed you and ask for your money back. Your conselation prize will consist of you giving us money for screwing you, $8 to be precise, but you no longer have to wait for the chip.
Does anyone else here wish they lived next door to these guys and didn't mind building up a criminal record?

I am cancelling my order with this guy and going to one of the better reviewed mechants on this forum. Also, the $8 reversal fee is B.S. I spoke with people at Visa and they said if that wasn't in the agreement when you purchased the item, then he can't add to the contract after you have made the purchase. Also I was told by them that he should have charged us for the chips when they were in stock, not weeks before he even had them.

Well I'd like to track my order tomorrow, didn't someone say earlier they had the phone # to this place (I don't want the owners, just the actual business)? If you track through their system, they say it is faulty and to call them, and if you call them and you are in the US, then it's long distance....etc. The circle of "screw you" we've become accustomed to. I'd like to HONESTLY know if my order is being shipped tomorrow, cause I am no longer going to wait for the umpteenth carrot on the stick. Funny thing I'd like to point out, after my post implying a cancel order boycott, that's when the info page was updated with the $8 screw you more for cancelling fee. I have a feeling they are monitoring this page. And if that is how they reply to fix the situation, then gut instincts tell me my order will be especially F'ed. I will most likely be dealing with my credit card company tomorrow, sending proof of how I was charge almost a month before the item was in stock, and the plethora of other BS they poured on top. It's all chronicled here (with plenty of other testimonies), as well as emails and their own info page. I suggest none of us cancel through them and take more in the keister from them than we already have. Hope you are listening Modchip.ca, we shall be having some fun tomorrow.

I placed my order on the 27th of December and am STILL yet to receive my order. I was first told that it would ship by the 29th of December however that didn't happen. It has been delayed and delayed. I do acknowledge the fact that there is low stock and very high demand. However, I didn't appreciate getting told that the product was in stock when it really wasn't. I have read of other people receiving their chips as of this date. I was told that if my order was placed before December 31st that it would've been shipped on the 20th. I live very close to this business and, from previous experiences, shipping took less than 24 hours. Either Canada Post screwed up,... Or my chip was not sent as I was told it would've. Time to keep my fingers crossed.
UPDATE: 1.22.04
Could've guessed.... I got screwed again!! No product. So now what? Do I have to wait another month?

Well I just sent in a cancel message to the email they list. I've had it. They couldn't even respond to the email I sent earlier today, since as I expected, my order didn't show up on their tracking like their info page claimed it should. And for more fun, I expect even though I told them not to attempt to charge me a $8 fee, to dispute the claim I will have to basically rip up my credit card (also my check card that is linked to my bank account) and be without it for up to 2 weeks, just so they don't try and charge more to override the bank dispute. And we all know they will, these people.....I don't have enough foul words to describe what I think of them. This is hands down the worst purchase transaction I've ever been party too. I can't even go purchase the chip until this is all over, so I can use a fresh credit card if need be and not end up causing problems with a new order being charged.
If someone could PLEASE provide their office number, I want to talk to these people by voice, so I can end this and they just can't ignore me and screw me more. I want this over with.

Yeah I'm with you guys, I have been waiting for over a month for my chip and still it seems it was not shipped. I emailed them after talking to my company lawyer and it is illegal for them to all of a suddden say there will be a processing fee to cancel out orders. If they wanted a fee it would have had to have been disclosed before we made the purchase not after. When they heard this they offered to cancel my order WITHOUT the charge. I don't know if this would actually happen but they said it would, I will still be saying F***You to them if I don't hear my chip was sent by tomorrow as I order over a fu@king month ago. So where is another reputable place to order from in Canada? We should all annonce if we are cancelling our orders and where we are ordering from instead in this thread incase modchip.ca is monitoring this page hehehe. But this has been the worst online experience ever for me and I don't know how it could possibly get any worse. I look forward to hopefully hearing some ood news from those who's chips did get sent if any were sent at all.

I ordered an X2.3 programmer from them, which their website said they had. I got an email saying they wouldn't recieve the item till the 29th of december, which would be too late, so i cancelled my order, but because they wont use Paypal with modchips, (which is stupid because many other companies do), I had to send a money order. So I waited several days assuming they would send it back and I recieved nothing, not an OK that they cancelled my order or anything. So I emailed them asking about it, and they said I needed to email them everything I ever got from them, such as emails, order forms off of the internet, my address. So, I did that, and continued to wait. 1 Week later I decided to email them again, wondering what was going on, this time I was a little more strict about it, telling them that I would pursue my money. They replied saying that they did email me and that it must have gotten lost saying, "you dont know canadians very well!" as I suppose something that was supposed to make me feel better. I WILL NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. The worst customer service ever. BTW, still waiting on my money order to be sent back.

I placed my order on the 27th and paid for overnight shipping.
Well I waited all of these days and my fedex package came on the 21st, but guess what?
There was no chip inside!!!
The package was opened by us customs and was not sealed properly. I went to their tech support site with the password that came with my package and they will send me another chip.
I got a call today from fedex and they said that the package was sealed, which is a lie.
So now almost 1 month later I still have no chip, and it looks like they do not have them in stock anymore!.

I placed an order with them on January 14th, wanted the chip right away paid for the fastest shipping. A couple hours after I placed my order I received an email stating that they were back ordered, and that my order would go out with the next batch on Jan 20th. Jan 20th came and went with my tracking # still not activated. After reading there latest news, that for some reason they only give you the link to this page after you order. It said if your tacking # wasn’t moving then you will have to wait till the next shipment. They recommend that everyone change there order to a xenium chip since they were in stock, so I did and I was told it would be here in 1-2 days –well 1 went 2 days went by and my tracking # was still not active. Finally 2 days after I changed my order Canada post received it. Just as the weekend starts so now it won’t be here till at least Monday or Tuesday.
Maybe this site was good before, but there are complete crap now. I found there methods sneaky, for instance they tell you on there hidden page that if you email them regarding your order or tracking # then your shipment will be delayed or not sent at all. Well that doesn’t sound vary helpful. STAY AWAY for this site. Unless you want to wait a month, sitting there wondering what is going on. Scared to send an email to ask! Check this out. I sent the message, asking them to cancel the order. I did NOT put cancel in the subject line, in case it was automated. I instead gave them all my reasons, to sum it up, that they suck in every possible way a business can. I cited every single example, then ended it with asking them to refund and demanding they don't charge me to cancel as the reason I'm cancelling is that they are complete failures. So what do they do? Do they refund me. no. Refund me the difference - $8. No. They just charge me another $8 on top of the $85 of mine they already have. HOLY F@CK are these guys @ssholes!!!! If anyone that has not ordered from these guys wants proof, just ask me, I have loads of emails I have sent them unanswered, saves of their info page, and will cut lines from my bank statement. Just short of a snapshot of their page they day I ordered where it says the item was in stock, and as you can see, a LOT of other people saw the same thing, and pretty much are going through the same mess. If you buy from these guys, you are paying more than any other reseller I've seen since, and taking a HUGE chance. If they have it in stock (which you can never be certain of as they LIE) you are all set. If not, expect to be raped like a pretty 100lb man in a state prison facility. I will as of tomorrow have to call my bank, cancel my credit card, and hold out to do or buy anything else until a new one comes in, JUST to not be f#cked by these pricks. The fact that these guys don't say PEEP in here whereas other resellers interact with their customers only goes to show what we are talking about.

They Called Fedex, then Fedex Called me saying the package was not opened, like the delivery guy would check, so there is an investigation on their part now.
Well they said they are going to take care of me. They probably do not have the chip in stock anymore, and it will take months to get my problem solved.
1 month and 1 day after and still no chip, I just decided to Flash my x box, did the solder job monday night and I hope to have tome to finish it today. 90 to the trash can.

I will not buy from them ever again.

Well I finally got my chip, a month and a half after ordering it from these jokers. I ordered my chip way back on Dec. 21, 2003 when their website saide they were "Fully in Stock". Then after I ordered, they tell me they are backordered and told me I would have my chip in 1 week. My credit card was charged the day I ordered. That one week turned into a month and still no chip. After countless emails they finally get back to me and don't even say sorry. I threaten to cancel my order and then they get all nice and stuff and offer to sent me a xbox cd case or something for the inconvience. They also told me if I cancel my order they would charge me an $8 fee, I was like WTF you were the ones who said the chip was in stock and chharged me for a chip you didn't even have to ship me. I told them ok that was fine I would keep the order and take the cd case. Then I get an email from them asking me to change my order to a different chip so they could ship it. I agreed (read bent over backwards for this company, did whatever was asked of me including settling for a different chip than I ordered when they were supposibly "Fully in Stock"...) so then my chip arrives WITHOUT the cd case they told me I would be getting... I mean come on guys what kind of customer support do they have? This was by far the worst online experience and I hope people who read this will think twice about ordering from these guys. I mean I was charged for a chip a month and a half before they even shipped it. Good luck with these guys...

Well.. my opinion on the matter is unbiased. I buy chips from all the makers. I likely buy from more sources than most people on this site.
I'm disturbed that this is the second time in 5 months that someone has passed off fakes to the public.
I'm also disturbed.. that modchips.ca still doesn't actually admit they sell fakes or clones.. and that they are now currently trying to sway opinion of their customers through misdirection and lies. This is intolerable.

This is funny.
Whether OzXodus was dicking them around is irrelevant. They made a decision to buy from a clone seller. That was a conscious decision. thier options were as I laid them out before.. either SELL the real Deal.. sell fakes, or sell neither. They CHOSE to sell FAKES.. and sell them on their site as if they were REAL.. at full price. that is FRAUD.
If I want a clone.. I expect a clone price. Considering how cheap the clones are in quality.. and how cheap they are to produce... this is disturbing that they charged customers nearly 60 bucks US for a fake.
Now.. if they were pissed about being dicked around.. why did they not simply post about it? Then.. it would be OzXodus that would look bad. Funny.. how the forums here and elsewhere have no mention of this problem. Hell.. people can always come to me.. and I can check in with people and say.. wassup! With no alleigence to any one chip maker.. I'm probably the most unbiased seller here. All I expect.. is chips at a good price.. and chips that work so that I don't have to listen to IRATE customers.
Instead.. modchip.ca chose to sell fake chips.. taking the low road.. and ignorantly hoped they wouldn't get caught. They assumed their customers were stupid. they also assumed that the chipmakers don't check their customers/official resellerers periodically.

Pretty much sums up what I had to deal with before this big fraud scandal. This BS from them isn't new, just in a new form that strikes a louder cord with the general public. After going through hell and back, plenty of months of either BS, attitude, or being ignored, I got my chip. And I couldn't get it to work. It is possible the B lite + was good, just my install was bad, but after trying straight for 2 days to get it to work, yet I got a wire install pro in within 3 hours.....well I doubt it was my end. Suffice it to say their tech support is non existent, as well as their customer service, business ethics. So I just kissed that money goodbye. And whats sad is I had to make legal threats and rant on them in various forms just to get my chip within a 3 month period (read previous posts on this thread). And they gave me a "we'll hook you up message" at the end. Gee I'm so grateful I overpaid for a chip that took 3 months, 20 emails, and a few phone calls as well as legal counsel to get.
I won't say what company I went to for the pro (don't want to sound like a sponsor), but they hooked me up with a pro within a week. At a good price. And have an irc link you can get to for tech support from their main page. And weren't total a-holes. And answer emails. And don't threaten to charge your card with a fee for cancelling your order after the fact. And don't lie about what's in stock. And don't charge you for something they don't have. And don't act like you owe them because they finally send it months later. and and and and.

I ordered from these guys and got a fake chip no instructions and a password to their site which had all the information that is public knowledge anyways!
Did not give refund sent fake product back am fighting for my refund hate sites that give false advertising!
I have now ordered a real Aladdin Advance chip from saveandreplay.com such a difference when you get the product you ordered 4 wires to solder instructions were A1 shipping fast! my business will never go to modchip.ca again!

The good news is they had an Xecuter 2.3+ Lite chip when everyone else was out of stock, and shipped it right away, real deal, it works great...
BAD NEWS : Their prices are already high, but they overcharged me $17, and now will NOT RETURN E-MAILS.
Won't get my future business and I recommend you don't send money to these crooks either

I Just ordered a X-ecuter 2.3 lite MOD chip from these guys and with in 20 min I had a Conformation email in my Inbox

I then got an email saying my order was processed and they gave me a tracking number. Man I gotta say that was fast!!!

I had placed and canceled orders with 2 other places because I had waited since monday for any emails at all and today is Thursday.

EDIT:Well all I can say about these guys is WOW!!! I made the above edit at 11:30am this morning after I tracked it. I get an email from back home (where i had it sent to) and it was there waiting in my mail box for me before 1PM!!!! Now that's service!! Ordered on thursday recieved before 1PM Monday!!! I havent had a chance to look in the package to see how it was packed or anything, but that's just due to the fact that I live 1 1\2 hours away by car. So far these guys get a A++ from me!!

I only buy from these guys from now on. Yeah, prices are a bit higher than some but so far I have not gotten one clone chip, or any bs, they were out of stock on a chip I paid for, called me, subbed another one, made a long distance call from winnipeg to FL on their dime just to fill the order now. So you pay for service, in the end dont we all? Just cant say how much I have enjoyed dealing with these guys. Bout time I found a solid NO BS SITE to buy my toys from.

I ordered an Xecuter 2.6 lite on November 1st, by COD (no CC), before coming across this section of the forums (tucked down at the bottom).
I live just outside of Winnipeg, so once they ship it it should only take a day.
It's been a week and a day so far and they haven't sent me a shipping number, who knows how long it will take. At least I paid COD, so I don't pay until I get it, but it might not be until Christmas by the sounds of the other comments, seeing as they ship CC orders first.
I'll post comments later on/when I get my chip.
Hopefully I won't be as disappointed as others here.

I place my order on nov 5th and i havent gotten my chip yet. I tracked it and its still in winnipeg. I live in Ontario. Doesnt make sense how the guy from florida got it so fast when i live much closer.

I ordered a chipmod from Chris and it was shipped to me within 2 days, including wires, solder, and desolder braid
Highly recommend them. Great vendors for Canada, based out of the west coast

Update:
I got my modchip yesterday (November 30), 4 weeks after ordering it.
On the website when I ordered it, it said "Expect Slight Delays." 4 weeks is a bit more than a slight delay. When I got the chip it had a letter enclosed apologizing for the delay, and that it was due to Xecuter updating the Cromwell Flashbios to v3.0.3 (which I had read on the Xecuter website, and had figured that would cause more delays).
On November 21st they sent me an email, asking me to confirm my order, and the following day I got an email from both them and CanadaPost showing my tracking number, and that the package was registered.
When I didn't receive it by the 24th I emailed them, got a response back and they said it would only have been shipped on the 23rd.
This was the first chip I've ever installed, and the installation itself was a breeze with the provided solder, and I don't mind the delays because the with v3.0.3 I just flashed it via http://
If I were an installer, and I were ordering chips for customers, the delay would be less acceptable.
Overall, I give them 3/5 stars.

Yes sorry for any delays, we had to stop orders a few weeks back to reflash chips to make sure they would support 1.6b machines, we now have thousands of chips in stock pre flashed with both 3.01 and 3.03 to make sure our xecuter chips support the newest machines.
Everything is in stock and you will receive it the next day if you order by Fedex before 3:00pm excpet LCD displays which we are out of stock.
(also x3 full front panel / clear x3pro switch and axapter3 are not in stock because they have not been released )

i recieved my modchip a long time ago. i havent posted cause i didnt pay for my cable bills. but i recieved it in great condition. reason for the week delay is the 1.6b models, and they had to reflash it.

These guys/girls were fast!
I got my chip in less then 20 hours. Completely unexpected, these people are awsome.
(I don't know about you Can_OX, I live in Ontario as well).

Ordered a copy of HDAdvance for PS2. (I know this is Xbox-Scenes, but I thought I'd post a websop reveiew for them anyway). I didn't pay for the overnight, and recieved the package in about a week. They had it mailed right after I ordered (according to the shipment tracking page). When I got the package I found the disks to be in perfection condition, and only one small bend in the corner of the packaging, but I doubt that's their fault.
