The shipping module was borked when you bought, and buying about 15 lbs of products will never cost 15 dollars 1-3 day international priority.. we contacted you and I think we've resolved this problem.. and the reason for visa verification.. just to be safe, international orders with large amounts of products and fast shipping are a sign of fraud, so we at least verify it. wink.gif

hopefully there's no hard feelings, as your package is already on its way to you, and you'll be able to DANCE DANCE with your new pad really soon smile.gif

Ordered an X3ce and Xecuter Pro Switch to upgrade my aging X2.3pro. Good package price for the combo so deceided to go for it. Order was placed and arrived quickly. When I opened the package it had a Xapt3r inside instead of the Pro Switch.

First thought in my mind was oh great another nightmare like I had with system mods. But I hit up the help desk and Kfree quickly responds with a viable soloution. Overall great site, great service, already have ordered more. biggrin.gif

Now if we could convince em to carry parts along the lines of the llama Id bs set.

modchipman is great, I originally ordered a premod ps2 ( during xmas break ) and didnt know about the shortage of ps2's. So I asked if I could change it over to an xbox premod and they did, :D.
Few weeks later it arrived, works great, I haven't had any probs with it.

I recommend them to anyone, :). Oh and for technical support the irc chan is great.

Bought a bunch of Viper mods from MCM, ordered on a Thursday at 11:pm (late night) and it arrived on Monday! Very fast shipping, nice people, good contact. Product was packed well, no complaints here. Got it working no problem! Very good communication as well, none of the ignoring and not responding typical of some online resellers in the same market! Shipping was $10, but no complaints here! beerchug.gif

We aren't really offering discounts on the chips we are selling them cheap enough as it is, also ALL chips work on all xbox's you just will need to get a programmer cable and reflash with m8 or cromwell FlashBIOS 3.0.1

they should really consider to offer a discount on modchips in bluk order... i emailed them asking for a discount on duo's chips for a order of 10 and they said they would not for the simple fact that the chips are already cheap... another site had no issues giving me a discount.

OKAY, this absolutely rediculous. These guys were AMAZING! I ordered on Sat the 19th of Feb, I got my package on Fri the 25th of Feb, a day ahead of what FEDEx even estimated it would be there. Before, during and after the sale customer service makes me want to have their man babies! I'd toungue kiss any of them if i ever met them. COULD NOT be happier.

I almost ordered from Cheapmods, those dorks wouldn't return emails, then i left a message and some dork called me 11pm (after i left a msg at 10am that day) witha msg like this (and i quote) "Hey, it's Frank,(or something, he faded out), you called, so....uh....call back and we'll explain stuff...." *click*

Of course I'm only guessing he was from cheapmod, since he didn't say so, nor leave a number, nor ever return my emails....thank god i read their feedback before ordering...anyway

I never really leave feedback, good or bad, but I thought that MCM deserved it for it's prompt order fullfillment and great prices. I ordered on Presidents day (Monday) at 10:00 pm, went with their cheapest shipping and had all of my parts by Thursday. This obviously means that the order was processed and sent out on Teusday. Not only that but I got my stuff before I went to work (which never happens), and I know I can prolly thank FedEX, but it still adds to my overall satisfaction.

I am very pleased with my MCM experiance, and you can bet I'm gonna be doing business with you again... soon.

The website here and the great support of being able to ask questions anytime through the IRC channel were the main reasons I placed my first order through modchipman. Let me tell you, I will never order a chip anywhere else and I will make sure my friends only order through here. The shipping is super quick and the support is awesome.

well after recieving a bogus tracking code and seeing my parts leave my state and fly across the united states where it was then picked up and signed for by someone with my last name i was pretty frightened ohmy.gif Then fed ex finally figured out my house existed, which took two days, smile.gif and finally delivered my parts! great parts and MUCH smaller than i was imagining laugh.gif can't wait for the weekend to start tinkering!

I am actually very dissapointed with this company. I've used them 2 other times in the past, and each time the order went out within a day or 2. As soon as I have a large order and let them know that I am a business owner, they blow me off. Also, I ordered my order on the 28th at 2:30 pm, and now today is the 3rd of march and it finally shipped out, and all fedex has is that the shipping info has been recieved. This is absoutly amazing. You would think that they would care about keeping a business client, but I guess they just don't feel that consistant orders of $600 or more aren't important. I know from reading the rest of the posts that almoast everyone else has good experiences with these guys, but this is absoutly amazing, especally when I paid extra for priority overnight shipping with a 10am delivery time. When someone pays extra for priority overnight shipping, they obvously need it soon! Get off of your asses and do business like a small business should. DAMN.

Figue I'd post here. I've ordered tons of chips from MCM. I had one bad X2.3b Lite a long time ago, and was replaced with a new X2.6. Everything has always been smooth, thanks! btw, I just ordered a few more chips today!

Had a great experience dealing with Modchipman on a GBA Flash cart I ordered. Although the first cart I received was actually defective (battery didn't function), MCM promptly processed my return and quickly sent out a new one to me.

we've developed a nice bulk rate setup .. I'm just a bit confused as to what you didn't like about our 'stance'.. just curious.. was there something that didn't make sense?

i ordered a Xecuter 2.3B PRO modchip from www.modchipman.com back in August 2004... and i have to say i would DEFINATELY RECOMMEND them as they dont screw around... VERY FAST shipping to... i ordered my modchip on a early monday and it was in my hands by wednesday/thursday! smile.gif

Don't use these guys. They are a rip off.

I purchased a xtender hard disk swapping unit.

After installing it and getting it to work halfway I read team xtenders forums about a issue where you had to go to your reseller to get a free replacement cable to fix 90% of the problems with the box. So I went to modchip man's web site.

Two times I was told by customer support that they have a 30 return policy and wouldn't do anything.

I told them the 2nd time I send in the request for the free replacement cable that it wasn't a request for a return it was a request for the free cable.

Megan who is answering their customer support system must be a idoit.

I even posted the link to the offical thread at xtenders forums for her to read so she understood what I was asking about..

Lets just say they like to ignore you if you have any problems and wont stand behind their products as offical resellers even when they are required to.

I will be posting at xtenders forums as well about this to see if they can help me out.

F*cking amazing. I've dealt with 3 different chip suppliers in the past. The first two both found ways to screw things up for me really bad.

Here's the deal. Modchipman.com is located in Illinois (sp?) ... I'm in Calgary, Canada.... And I recieved my order exactly ONE day after they got it.

I'm very impressed.

The support in EFNet #modchip man was frickin spectacular. Kfree is a goddamn modchip help god.

Hearing the good reviews about this site, I decided to send my Xbox with an Xenium Modchip to modchipman.com, and also orderd a clear case with it.

Before I ordered with modchip man, I ordered with chipdealer.com, then someone told me about the reviews on that site. And the reviews for chipdealer.com were pretty bad. So I'm trying to get my money back. I sent them 2 emails. But I have not yet recieved a reply. I heard one guy called his bank and claimed bank fraud on chipdealer.com or somethin like that, and got his money back. If chipdealer.com doesn't answer soon, I'll call,and if they don't answer, I might go to the bank.

What do you guys think, should I go to the bank and complain ??

I'd like to first say that your comments about our tech support and customer service reps are very inflammatory, saying things like that only make you look like an idiot.

Secondly, I'd like to point out that we don't have cables for old customers, and that's not OUR fault, we were only given enough cables for the stock we had, so as to make sure all current stock had a cable in it. I do know that team xtenders site says that anyone ever could grab a cable, but unless they actually PROVIDE us with those 'extra cables', we can't really do much about that, and thats unfortunate.

its one of those things where the manufacturer says things they can't really back up, and then customers find fault with the resellers.. which is unfortunate.. if we had a few hundred cables lying around as spares, I'd definitely give you a cable, why the hell would we not?...

Sorry for your feelings, but sometimes manufacturers say things that aren't true...

I just placed my third order with MCM. Both of my previous orders were packaged very well, and arrived earlier than expected (very fast shipping). I had some problems with one item from each order, and MCM was quick to help.

The first problem was a non-functioning LCD on my X3CP. MCM made some suggestions that put me on the right diagnosis track, and I found the problem soon after. It was actually a couple of bad solder joints on the LCD socket of my X3. A couple of dabs of solder fixed the problem.

The second was a problem with a PS2 chip. Once again, they put me on the right track to finding the problem. My PS2 was working perfectly soon after.

MCM has excellent selection, prices, shipping, and support. I highly recommend them to all my friends.

I recieved a switch for my xecuter2.6 that was bad, so I put in a ticket. They replied to my ticket in about 24 hours and sent me a new switch with out any hassle. Although for the lazy person such as myself who would like a phone # to contact with questions or problems they can be hard to reach I would still HIGHLY recommend them...

#1 They use FEDEX and not UPS (Big A+)
#2 Because of that you will receive your order FAST (Big A+)
#3 They do not mark up prices with Shipping and "Handling" charges (Big A+)
#4 Orders seem to be processed in a timely manner (Big A+)
#5 I don’t get the vibe that its just some kid shipping chips from his/her moms house (Big A+)

I would have liked to add some more items to my order before it shipped….I just would feel more comfortable contacting them by phone for a fast answer to those type of issues so I will give a B- for that area because unfortunatly I know that the no0b abuse would flood them if they had a phone number posted

The customer support has been excellent and they will be my reseller of choice after the bad experiences I have had with System-Mods.

Not long after ordering my premod, it arrived.. Relatively quick turnaround time, certainly nothing to complain about... Unfortunately, the premod I received had the following problems:

1) Noisy, squeaky hard drive. Made chirping sounds on spinup/spindown.
2) RUST on the metal inside the case.
3) The fan on the Nvidia heatsink (1.0 XBox) was separated from it's base, bouncing freely in the case.
4) FRAG on boot 98%+ of the time.
5) They sent an off-brand controller with a fan in it, which wouldn't work in the BIOS they sent with the DuoX2 chip box I ordered. Thankfully, I have multiple retail, MS XBox controllers here which worked fine. The offbrand controller also intermittently repored it was disconnected.
6) The few times the system did boot for me, it wouldn't read pressed retail games (KOTOR wouldn't properly display it's loading screen graphics, Fable would't get past it's opening cinematics, etc), no less any sort of burned disks.

After a bit of back and forth with MCM support via tickets, starting 24-2-2005-4:02, and ending 11 26-2-2005-10:17, I get an RMA address to send the box back to. Now I have to admit, I was a bit short on cash, and wasn't able to pay to send it back until March 4th, 2005. The box arrived, according to USPS, "Your item was delivered at 12:24 pm on March 07, 2005"(**)

And I heard nothing, even when prodding MCM people in online chat about it. I got an email March 13th saying it was received, and being worked on. An entirely different box was shipped out Mar 18, 2005 at 9:57 PM via FedEx, and it arrived Mar 24, 2005 at 9:06 AM. (***)

In total, 35 days passed from my initial order was placed to the time I received a working XBox, with 6 days of this being due to the delay between getting RMA information and my actually sending out the box. The XBox I have now works perfectly, and they sent a MS branded (small) controller. The box they sent did not include a power or AV cable. Thankfully I had spares, and I'm so tired of dealing with it that I no longer have the willpower to persue it. I wound up paying $18.80 Shipping to return the bad box in addition to $213 for the premod.

Considering the additional cost for what was clearly a bad box even before it was sent out (rust, noisy drive, and DVD read issues at least), the extreme delay, the absolute lack of communication, and the utter lack of professionalism in their IRC channel (What's with some of the op names there? tongue.gif), I will not be doing business with MCM again when I have my PS2 modded, or when I purchase a second XBox premod.

well, you sent it out the first/second week of march.. and it takes 2-3 weeks to do installs.. turnaround.. so yeah, that is pretty accurate..

I ordered a 1GBit GBA EZ-Flash II Powerstar Devkit (Order #29408) on Friday, March 25. First thing Monday morning, I received a processing notification in my e-mail, and a few hours later, received a shipping notice with a FedEx tracking number. The kit arrived at around 10:30 AM today, and so far, I'm very satisfied with it.

Modchipman's service was very fast considering that I ordered on a holiday weekend, and was very quick e-mailing me with order updates. I would definitely order from them again, and am recommending Modchipman.com to all my friends who are into console development.

Their service is definitely better than Easybuy2000, who burned me on a purchase of an Xodus/Matrix XBox chip back in 2003 (3 months to get the chip, had to scan my ID/Credit card before they would ship, held back by US customs, etc), and of course, after dealing with the outrageous waiting/shipping charges from Lik-Sang back in the Dreamcast days, I think I've found my new favorite console accessory reseller with Modchipman.com. beerchug.gif

Ditto to the above comment. My new FAVORITE chip supplier. The only one of 3 this year that has actually shipped my product overnight. Ordered 2 DuoX chips, and they both came nicely packaged the next morning. The order update emails that I received kept me nicely informed without having to visit the website.

I have orderd once before from MCM, everything was good, I got my PS2 in about 2 weeks, and used it. About 8 months later, the laser went bad, and MCM would not help me at all.

Now I have ordered another ps2 (Order #29709) on 04-01-05. That I would like to have cancled becasue after reading all of the problems that the new pstwo slim has with the laser, I don't want to lay out another 300.00 for a ps2 that might break. I have written alot of emails, tryed live help and writting serveral tickets. Now i know it is the weekend and that might be the reasion, but I just want to cancel my order, and have my credit card credited back the 301.01 that was charged on 04.01.05.

I've bought from these guys a total of 3 times & have been more than satisfied each time.

1st time - ordered an x3ce, x3 control pannel, & clear case - delivered in 3 days.

2nd time - needed some x3ce chips QUICK!
Called em up & they said come on down & pick em up (they're just an hr/ hr.5 away for me). The lady there hit up mapquest & got me directions. Anyway, I couldn't make by the time they closed for the night (on a friday) but they stayed open 40 minutes late for me & I got my chips...

3rd time - Just ordered today, but I feel certain this experience will be just as positive as the last 2.

I used to use system-mods.com for my xbox "needs" but they have always been late with shipments (sometimes weeks) & I've had to fight with them over returns of merchandise shipped broken---

modchipman.com is DEFINITELY the way to go. There's just no way to compete with QUALITY SERVICE.

Just wanted to post an update, MCM contacted me today on a Sunday no less. Letting me know that my order has been cancled, and my money will be refunded within 3-4 days.

Now we are working just mabe fixing the 1st ps2 that I got from them last december.
