Some problems, but not because of modchipman, they sent my order out the same day I ordered it, but the USPS messed up my delivery and caused a long delay.

All in all, not a bad experience. I'd order from them again definately.

Brand of hard drive?

Just wondering, because as I look through these sites...most of them don't list the actual components they put in the system...so I don't want to order something and get some refurbbed or just turdly drive.

Really wanting to get an Xbox I can use for a entertainment center, but the information is so hard to find and when I do find something Im not sure exactly what I want...because I dont know what the software out there can do.

So my main concern now is making sure I at least end up with good components and stuff I'll need to get started..wires, etc.

Got a Magic 3.1 from them. Support was great. Shipping I must say a little slow. Fried my PS2. Talked to Admin, and they are willing to take a look at the unit. I think it's the BA chip and ps14 fuse. He said they would let me know.
Bought a pre-mod PS2 w/ Messiah 2.2 pro; shipping again a little slow. Unit works flawlessly however.
Bought a X-ecuter 2.2 lite; once again shipping is slooooow. Reports that it was shipped Monday Sep 8th. 2-3 day priority mail should arrive in California in no more than 3 days. Today is Friday Sep 12th, still nothing. i expect it to arrive tommorrow. Still dissapointed with shipping.

As far as shipping being slow, are you saying that once its shipped its slow? Because USPS priority really is a fairly decent shipping option, 2-3 business days, but if you are having problems getting it within those timeframes, let me know and I'll figure out whats wrong.

As to my earlier post "slow shipping" I was reacting to my delivery times as opposed to other buyers who gave feedback. My 1st order was 3 days (good), 2nd order was a premod (great product Messiah 2.2 pro PS2) took 2 weeks to come but I guess they were backed up. Also, 2 days after I ordered my premod, for only $10 more I could have got a Online Adapter!! AHHHh... darn. 3rd order was a X-ecuter 2.2 lite took 6 days delivery time (here's where my slow shipping came from). ALthough don't mistake I still say Modchipman is a very good company with excellant support. Will buy again.

placed an order 16th september for a premod xbox, and on 17th it still says pending, even tho premods are in stock......tho the site does say allow 3-5 days for testing. heres hoping mine will be faster then that (patience is not a virtue of mine :) )

I've dealt with a few shops in the past and was very unsatisfied (they are now out of business, go figure). I ordered 5 mod chips and a programmer from modchipman Monday night after business hours, got a shipping confirmation on tuesday, and recieved the products at 1pm on Wednesday!! I did choose the better shipping, but regardless, this is amazing service. Products seem to be in perfect condition. Thank you Mod Chip Man! I'll be making PLENTY of orders in the near future.

p.s. I got a x2 lite from a crappy shop *cough*xtreme*cough* a few months ago that is defective out of the box (won't flash or anything), when i brought this to their attention, they just told me to try flashing again and I never heard from them again. I was wondering if there is anything Xecuter will do for me? Perhaps repair it or something? If anyone knows please let me in on the secret.. Thanks.

Tried installing it but had a hard time.
People in chatroom were real helpful and now I've got my Xbox running great.

did you try using the programmer to flash that bad chip from the other company? Try putting it in there and try programming.. if its truly messed up you will get like synch F errors if you try to program it.. but make sure you can program other chips successfully.. if other chips work, and this one doesn't, its a bad chip most likely..

I'd say that I've tried some silly things to get chips to work... like putting them in the freezer for a few hours and then flashing (works sometimes) .. if you're at wits end, try silly things.. it might work

we keep getting a ton of emails from x-s members about if we are in stock on the x2 chips (pros, lites, lite +).. and so I thought I'd just post it here and let everyone know we're definitely in stock on all the chips, they process/ship within 24 hours.. and if anyone needs chips by the weekend, the latest you should order is on wednesday, to receive friday/saturday.

priority mail = 2-3 days (3.85 in-country)
express mail = 1-2 days (13.65 in-country)

Ordered two m2 pros from them..Got em very quick.
Ordered two x2.2 pros from em..got one very quick, but forgot to include the other. However, he did send the missing chip w/o fuss and I receieved it in the next couple of days. Great customer support. I got no complaints, and do all my mod business here.

I ordered a X2lite programmer on Sunday(9/21) and got it today, tues.(9/23). Would do business again .

All I can say is, I think that update from ModChipMan was due to my emails I sent him with questions about shipping and stock.

Well I am extremely happy to say the least with my order so far. Ordered late last night, order shipped today, and am anxiously awaiting. I even emailed him to check to see if it shipped since the status said processing, and within minutes I received the confirmation number that it shipped and on its way. Will update once it arrives, but so far so good.

well i ordered my premod from these guys on tuesday 16th september and it was procesed wednesday, amd mailed out thursday so great service....i got the system on monday morning so once again great service, unfortunatley the system is giving me some hd errors so will not boot but after checking with the guys in the support channel and them walking me through a few things the problem was new to them to so they asked me to mail it back to them to sort out for me......this seeems like pretty good support and i thank them for that.........so wednesday morning i mailed it back to them and look forward to getting the xbox back to me

UPDATE:
Got the chip today, and it works great with the header pin included with the ground and d0 connection. The ONLY complain is that there was no 2nd wire included (the one that you can solder without taking out the board). So it was missing from my package. Oh well, as long as the chip works.

What was wrong with the packaging? Did the post office smash it into your mailbox? I do like the way the chips are put in those small boxes, nice and secure.. hopefully everything is ok. Yell at your mailman to have some respect for your packages!

OK well i just got my xbox chipped through mcm, and got it back thinking everything would be perfect...but this isnt a perfect world, and im an idiot. so all i had to do was flash the chip and it would all be good, but it didnt want to work for me. finally after endless conversations with some very helpfull people from mcm i got it to work. i went from very pissed and about to throw my xbox out the window to the happiest person alive.....thanks mcm, nice doing business and look for more from me.

I ordered an Xecuter 2.2pro last Saturday (Express Mail) and I recieved it today (Friday). I am not going to blast them because I truly believe that it was a case of miscommunication. They were very cooperative and answered all of my e-mails promptly and curtiously. Once we got the order straight, the chip was mailed and recieved in a very timely fashion. I would recommend them to anyone wishing to buy these types of products. I caution you, however, to fully COMPLETE your order when using PayPal.

Not that you guys are late or anything at all. Just placed my order last night and was wondering its status. I thought it MIGHT ship on today (Friday 9/27) but no such luck. Oh well, I am sure I will get it soon enough. Thanks!!
