I live in Washington state and have never moded before. I went out and bought a new Xbox. Pre 2003 serial. turned out to be a version 1.1 motherboard. I then found a web shop which had a good reputation and chose "The Console Corner". I bought the Xecuter 2 Pro and recieved it in 5 days. But I was worried I might screw up my new Xbox so I bought the Pogo 2 days later and recieved it in 4 days. I have since installed both and everything works. I want to give this site some feedback that matters. I recommend them 100%.

I bought from them and paid for Priority, but only recieved normal USPS. i did get my chip though. Took about 2 weeks but the holiday delayed things a bit.

I ordered two mod chips ($160) with normal shipping option,
but it did not arrive for one month.
I cannot know whether they sent chips or not really.
They told me that "We will send another".
Because I wanted to track shipment, I sent extra payment to change
shipping option to USPS Express Mail.
But they gave wrong tracking number, so I cannot track it!
and the shipment don't arrive until today!
I sent some email to them, but they don't reply to my email any more! sad.gif

this guy is a clown. don't even think about buying the Controller S from this guy. I just received mine in the mail. If you go to his website, he lists the thing as "from MS" when in actuality, it's a knockoff of the real thing it came in a plastic bag for crying out loud! there's no brand on it, and the buttons are of horrible quality. That kind of advertisement is false and should be illegal. Plus, none of the stuff come in any kind of official packaging because it's all knockoffs.

I've ordered from him 3 times now and have had good luck each time. However, I did get a bad chip, but that was no problem, I just sent it back (it was an X2 Lite) and he sent me back a X2 Pro!! I was very happy indeed. The exchange went real smooth and I recieved all of my chips in a timely manner. I would definatley do business with him again

their product was good... but i paid for 2-3 day shipping and it came a week later packaged in a slightly padded envelope and was sent using regular stamps

I do all of my stocking of chips through this site. he is a great seller and very prompt, Everything is in my hands priority mail 2 days right after the day I order it. I just got in my 20 x2.1 lite chips from him. And have ordered MANY times before.

Hey guys this is my store smile.gif Thanks for alll the feedback good & bad! I try my best to fill every order as fast as possible and answer every email. It gets kinda rough when your getting 400+ emails a day, but I get back to everybody! If you have purchased from us in the past, we will see you again shortly! We purchase LARGE amounts of chips straght from the Factory, ( Our first 500pc LITE2.1 arrived & pre orders shipped 06-02 & every day since!) We got word this weekend from the factory, that the sweet new PRO 2.1 chips will be in our hands early on 06-13. We may get all pre orders out the 14th, but are promising the 16th & mabey will suprise you! We just started taking Pre Order for the PLUS2.1 due by the 23rd, this ship date is tentative & will most likely be pushed forward! Well enough of the shameless promotion, feel free to stop by & browse around...

I bought a X2 Lite Plus from them and got it 5 days from the day I ordered it. They are a very good site and #1 for mod chips in my book. If you order from the console corner you wont regret it.

Some problems with my order from here. Here is how it plays out.

06/04/2003: Placed order. Paid $88 for 2 X2.1 Lites and $14 for priority shipping.

06/06/2003: Date order was supposed to be shipped. Was not.

06/07/2003: Spoke to Console Corner and they said they couldn’t get to the post office. Also... I mentioned the price drop on the chip. They offered me the difference. I told them to keep the difference and to ship the chip to me overnight on Monday 06/09/2003 (they said they could ship it overnight for an additional $9). They agreed.

06/10/2003: No package... They said they sent the order on 06/09/2003 via Priority mail. They said they would refund the difference... which I don't know how much that will be.

Overall... not a good experience. I purchased these chips from them because I needed them for a install today, forgoing the higher price for the chip and the expensive Priority Shipping. Now... I had to cancel my appointments for the installs today and wait on this package that will most likely arrive Thurs or Fri. Oddly enough... I placed another order with System-Mods yesterday 06/09/2003 for some Installs I have this weekend and the order was shipped out yesterday with a tracking number. Also... I only paid $8 for 3-day Fedex shipping. What urks me is that I paid over $100 for the chips from Console Corner and the chips I bought for $88 from System-Mods will be here sooner.

Update: I'm recieving a $9.80 refund. I think this covers the difference in the chip prices that changed over the course of the weekend.

Here is an email correspondence between myself and what I presume is the owner of the site:

I am interested in buying a 2.1 lite chip, however you charge 5.96 for USPS Priority Shipping. You list the package as being two pounds, when it’s not more than half of a pound at best, and even still two pounds comes out to 5.40 I believe. The price should be 3.85 for USPS 2 Day Priority.

Let me know what you can do, I am interested in a chip but don’t like seeing a good price up front, then getting screwed on the shipping when I get to checkout.

Here is his reply:

Well if the chips can wrap themselves in bubble wrap, put themselves in the box, seal it. Tape it with their own tape. Address the box their selves & walk to the post office I will do it for $3.85. If the chips can’t do all the above I guess you will have to live with the $2.11 Handling fee.

This is a great example of horrible customer service, his reply was both rude and sarcastic.

Now I can understand a shipping and handling fee, while I don’t agree with it I do agree that it’s his priority to charge these fees. Let me say however that is not an excuse to be rude and sarcastic to a customer.

As I said I do not agree with the fees, he is already making at least ten dollars off of my sale, I cannot understand why I should then have to pay an additional handling fee, it’s not like he’s selling me the chip at cost, he’s already made profit and handling should come from that. I personally do not charge a handling fee because my shipping is quite efficient, and costs me almost nothing, I see no reason to charge my customers handling fees when I’ve already made money from the original sale.

This is really not about that however, it’s about the fact that there are many ways to say something, and rather than being tactful he was rude and sarcastic, and that’s not the way you should treat customers or potential customers.

hehehe, $2.11 is not bad when comparing to system-mods. They put an extra 4 onto their shipping charge for a chip too. sad.gif.

Yes you are right, not only do they charge four dollars (absurd) but their three day shipping is about eight dollars, while USPS 2 Day Priority is only 3.85.... I know there are some benefits like tracking and insurance (I believe) but it would be nice to have the option between USPS and UPS....

I did not contact them but I would certainly think their answer would be more polite and tactful.....

And again this is not really just about the fees, it's more about the sarcastic and rude attitude....

i got my modchip today.. ordered it wednesday.. paid for priority got first class. so yea not real happy with that.. but other than that i did get my chip within a week from ordering.. so overall good experience

I'm glad I didn't buy from this place, I would strongly discourage people from buying from here....

It's one thing to charge a handling fee, while I don't agree with it it's certainly somewhat understandable, but how can you over charge for shipping, and then ship it using a lesser method than what you charged for ? There's just no excuse for that....

I'm glad you got your chip but you should have had it by Friday, or Saturday at the latest, at least according to what you paid for....

i recieved my x2.1lite today ordered last wednesday, chip was in working condition. Site owner answers emails very quickly and with decent support. my only complaint is also the priority mail charge, considering it said 1.50 shipping on my package. But ohwell i paid for the chip, i got the chip in good condition so i am a satisfied customer.

Part of the problem here is that many of you are too easily satisfied, it's like so long as you get your chip you are satisfied... Now I didn't understand your whole situation, but even if you didn't wind up being screwed out of 8.60, your order still took almost a week (and counting), and what's worse is it will likely arrive via standard first class shipping....

i suppose you are right i got screwed out of almost $5 but its better than not recieving a chip. i wont order a chip from them anymore because of the shipping fiasco . but just want to tell people even tho they screw you on shipping they will send the chip. im a patient person so i can deal with it. I can understand other people getting irked if they paid $5 for shipping and only got first class

I just don't see how getting ripped off for 5.00 and having your package take twice as long to arrive as what you paid for is an "overall good experience"....

All I have to say is I wish I had looked you up first... I put an order in to system mods and paid for 3 day select and their lovely upcharge on handling now there shipping it late so it won't get here for the weekend, and there order tracking is a joke, they have no idea whats going on and can't answer even the simplest questions on the phone.. needless to say I know where Im going for my next purchase!

Looks like I had the same experience as many others did

"charge for USPS Priority, then turn around and ship your package via first class mail, which means you get taken for about 5.00 and your order takes a week instead of two or three days"

I ordered mine on a Friday ond had it the next Wednesday. The item arrived safe, the packing was OK, did not take a long time to arrive, but it chaps me that I was hosed on the shipping charge. I do not mind a buck or 2 for packaging charges, but if you say you are shipping Priority, then if you want me to buy something from you in the future you had better use Priority.

I also was going to use googleshack, had some good Emails from them, but I wanted mt chip asap, and googleshack's inventory on 2.1's is't up yet.

In short...

1. Got my chip
2. Chip works great
3. Tracking worked
4. Shipping fiasco will probable "send" me to another seller

I ordered my stuff on Monday June 9th, got an email that day stating that it will ship on the 10th. I also purchased Priority. The tracking number I got hasn't been in USPS's system at all (always says they have no record of this item).

This will be the 4th day so that's outside of the 2-3 day request. If it was backordered, that's fine but a email stating so would have been nice, 400 emails a day or not, keeping people informed will buy you days.

I honestly think Console Corner is a good place to buy stuff from, there is just some work to be done on the shipping side. I'm not even worried about the shipping prices. I mean you can't honestly complain about the price of shipping, it IS stated before you confirm your order. If you don't like what the amount is, then don't purchase from them.

It's just all this "I purchased Priority and got First Class" that really bugs me. At that point your paying for a service that you did not recieve and that's a real key defense if anybody actually takes some action against it.

Console Corner, great site, you have lots of stuff that people want, just get the shipping right and you won't be able to pull the money in fast enough. And as you state in your website, you could jump into a big pile of boobies! ha!

The don't complain about shipping prices was about the "it should only be $3.28 instead of $4.50" type statements.

I totally agree you should get what service you paid for, and THAT's where I see the problem.

Just to add to my previous statements.....6th day still no product. I just love paying for 2-3 day shipping.

I see a shipping refund in my future, or should I just call my credit card and stop payment...hmmm what to do..

I give them a few more days (hey it could have been backordered, even though my mailbox never recieved a email stating so) to get it in stock and shipped.

This is getting really old....and quickly.

Clicked to get an x2.2pro pre order, but a x2.1pro is added to the cart. Will check this out and find out which chip i`m getting. I received an email confirming an x2.2pro biggrin.gif so far very impressed with customer service. I live in Australia so I`m not really fussed if it takes a while. I`ll update the post when it arrives. cool.gif

Ok, here is the whole deal. Puts a much better light on this website.

After a week of ordering it, I took the advise that I email him and ask him about it. Turns out one of my items was out of stock when I ordered and it came in the same day I emailed him about it. This is either the right timing or a forgotten order, I will give the benefit of the doubt to the Console Corner.

Anyways, he said he shipped it out Monday (June 16th) and to expect it on Wednesday (June 18th). Low and behold in my mailbox it sat. And it was sent priority, like I asked.

This has renewed my faith in ordering again, just this time I will go into it knowing that the website isn't updated to the minute with the on-hand inventory.

So, I got my stuff, everything was working 100%. It was packaged VERY well, and they are the cheapest I have found on a lot of things. Check them out. If your not in a hurry and don't mind the possibility that they are out of stock, then I have no problems recommending this place.

Well I ordered a Xecutor 2.1 PRO on the 11 of June and they sent me an email a day later with a USPS tracking number. I tried out the tracking number and to this day June 21 the tracking number still doesn't work.


Please someone clear this up for me I was reading on the website that if you pre ordered a Xecutor 2.1 PRO they will be holding your order a little longer because the new Xecutor 2.2 PRO just got released and instead they will ship you the Xecutor 2.2 PRO . I also saw if you don't want to wait for the new Xecutor 2.2 PRO to be in stock you can just email them to ship you the Xecutor 2.1 PRO when is instock on the 24 of June.

Im from australia and will be making a purchase from console-corner soon.... I am gonna order by the cheapest possible shipping(doesnt matter if it takes 2 weeks to get to me really....i guess i can be patient) but i just hope i get it... I dont see the point in paying for expensive shipping as he will probably send it via cheap shipping anyway... Other then that i have sent him emails and he seems very reasonable he said he would repackage items to make the shipping cheaper if i wished(i plan on ordering a dance pad which comes in a big box)...
If i do make an order ill post the results on in under this topic... any last words of advice before i do so...
btw im ordering 2 ps dance pads(no comment), a x2.1lite and a blaze powerpad pro controller...

I have just ordered from the console corner. I ordered two Xecutor lites. The shipping was very fast as well. Got my order in 3 days. Chips worked flawlessly. I won't order my chips anywhere but here from no on. Very good company and trustworthy.
