I wouldn't go as far as calling them a "SCAM", more like some kindergarten kids selling lemonade over the internet.

Though the kids may well do a better job at keeping track of their orders!

This site totally ripped me off and now they wont return my emails. I got something coming for these wise-a$$es though. Everyone else be smart and avoid them like the plague!

SCAM, yes I think Hackers Hardware is a scam! Why would a company take your money, never send any e-mail messages, and not attempt to ever make contact with you or reply to their e-mail messages. Yea its a SCAM, you'd have to be stupid to believe otherwise.

I'm out $460 bucks and have already started the ball rolling with a mail fraud investigation on these people.

Aparently this isn't the first mail fraud case against these people per an investigator that contacted me regarding this matter. I look forward to the day when their site goes down and nobody else gets screwed over by these assholes.

Xbox-Scene should take these people off their main page, otherwise you risk getting a bad reputation yourselves.... Think about it!

their DEFIENTLY in CA, i ordered a premod xbox and ps2 a few months back, and i got both but the ps2 was unmodded, so i was told to send it back, so i did and 2 days later i had my right ps2 on my doorstep.

All return addresses came from CA and i sent the first ps2 to CA

I have ordered 3 EnigmaH's 6 August, when i waited for one week. I've started to e-mail them, where my order was. First, they couldn't see my order. It wasn't handled, the european site was about to open and my order fell right between it. So i said to the guy, i want them. For the free shipping. Noo that wasn't possible, they will be sent via Sweden. But the EnigmaH's are no more, so i said... 3 executors for the same price.

Once he accepted my proposal, i waited for another week. Suddenly he said the pricediffrence was too high, and promised me only 2 executors. Well i didn't like the way it all went, but agreed on this one. Then nothing came, i asked how it all went... No we are not sending you two, but one.

I really was astonished, what kind of marketing is this? Just screwing over and over you customers? So i waited, nothing! I arranged this all by IRC on #xbox channel, the guy's name is "RoT" Just as their service i believe...

Finally i got tired of waiting, and wanted my money back... send an e-mail or two... no response for a week... then an reply 'Why did you order from USA and not from Europe" jeez. I e-mailed that my order took too long to process and i wanted fully money refund.

Well that was about a week ago, now i talked to a collegue of him. Cause RoT never seemed to respond on IRC (probably due time-differences) i repeatedly demanded my money back. So here i am, begging for my money back. After i said the words to file a complaint towards PayPal about this matter... THEN FINALLY things where set in motion.

I actually DID file a complaint, cause i was tired of it. Waiting for a stupid piece of PCB to arrive after more then a month!

Well, it could have been due the weak software they use... that my order was never gotten trough their system, but the money went from the bank a week after the actual order of (6 august). But HackersHardware seemed to be reasonable at the first step... then all their promises changed to stalling me.

What can i say? It's a weird company, i've ordered at Lik-sang.com for a couple of penny's more... but i'm happy i can expect my order this coming week.

That is horrible. And with the type of "multi-country" site they have, you would think they would be more professional, or at least have some decent support for their customers.

I have always (and will continue to always) order my items from www.GameGizmo.com Never had a problem at all, always get my product fast and if need help, can contact them right away and answer (at least for me) always has come same day or next morning. Sometimes prices that seem too good to be true, often are too good to be true because in the end, you don't have any such support whatsoever from the people. It is just not right to do this.

All companies have problems, but what I am reading here an other forums is disgusting. Actually. GameGizmo.com did have a problem once, they send out older version of Enigmah chips to their customers, while not knowing it. In fact, *I* did not even know it. But 3 weeks later came an enevlope in the mail, with a **FREE** upgraded chip and a letter explaining the problem and a apology. So I got one free chip from them. Thats my type of business practice. If I will spend my money, I spend it in the right type of places.

Contact PayPal, they will get your money back, contact even the local BBB or local police in the area there, they will investigate it.

Hey guys. I've been waiting a little while for my Magic 2 pre-mod PS2 order, and it went through today. This afternoon.. around 3:30.. I got it.... that e-mail I know you're all dreaming of.... FedEx shipment 792106284981. It took a little while for my system to ship, But I wouldn't label them scammers... I hope you guys end up getting as good of treatment as I got.. They sound like cool guys on the phone, I wouldn't label them rip-off artists just yet.

Glad to hear they responded to the negative publicity. Man, those guys were taking a lot of heat. Hopefully all you guys w/ problems will get them all sorted out.

I also had a bad experience. I ordered a pre-modded XBOX with Enigmah final in it on June 24th 2002. They sent me an email saying it would be 10 days before they could PROCESS my order - and any additional delays would be added to that. I attempted to cancel my order, as in that amount of time I knew I could already have an XBOX (ordered and received from from xboxmodchips.net before I received a reply to the order-cancellation email). They said I couldn't cancel - it's in the terms of agreements. Yep, that's right - order cancellations are a violation of the terms of service. I talked to several people, and they all kept telling me the same thing, so I figured I'd just eat it have two XBOXes...except that one never came. When I tried getting in touch with someone to get a tracking number to show that second one had been shipped, suddenly I'm unable to speak with anyone there.
Here we are 3 months later, and I still haven't received it. I've now set up a fraud investigation with my credit card company as HH charged me promptly but have never bothered to ship the item.

These guys sent me my chip but I would not recommend them to anyone. Look at there response time for people's emails are more than a week or two and sometimes never. And they have only made 2 whole posts in this forum defending themselves. Which to me is absultly worthless. Because it makes them look even more like dumbasses, they want people to post good things about them, but they are getting way more bad posts then good. man these guys need to hire more people for customer service.

Hmmm funny I recived my executer with no problems except for the fact that it took a while. 3 weeks but not there fault. Here is an e-mail from them explaining why......

Anyway they replied the same day to the e-mail and I got my chip, I am happy.

I have to post a message here in defense of HHardware. While I can't comment about the guys that haven't had the best customer service when it comes to having mod'ed systems returned to them in a timely matter....I can comment on ordering a modchip from them.

I ordered a ps2 magic chip on Thursday afternoon. After an hour later, I called to see if they had them in stock and got my order. I was told that my package was ready to mail out and as we were talking I got an email with my tracking number. I received my package on Saturday (2 days!)

So, for what it's worth...I had a really good experience from Hackers Hardware.

Paid for 4 chips, received 3 - opened the envelopes in front of my co-workers even. They all wrote hackershardware to bear testimony to my lack of a fourth chip. HH said I was "scamming" them . . . . um right. Wouldnt order there.

Hackers hardware has gotten much better. I ordered from them once before and they were a little slow- I ordered an xecuter from them last week ($35 shipped) and I got it in 2 days. The only reason they are slow are due to their stock- they have good service.

I placed an order at the begining of the month with Hackers Hardware and have yet to hear from them. Being the paranoid bastard that I am I ordered another chip from ExtremeMods a few days later.

Well, still no word from Hackers Hardware but three emails (with my order confirmation and shipping info) and two days later I received exactly what I ordered from ExtremeMods.

This does not meant that Hackers Hardware is a scam, just a bad business model. With the long list of bad experiences (and a few good ones) anyone out there would be well advised drop the extra few bux ($3 in my case) and order from a company that has a better proven track record, maybe even a phone number and address - verify you can contact them - and rest assured that you will receive not only communication regarding your order but your order as well.

A special message to Hackers Hardware - just send a freaking email or something, please! I run a small business and *I* too get reamed when I am not on the ball 100%. In the past I was lazy but I have learned the value of good customer support and **return** customers...maybe you should too.

They dont have a good service if you get yours in a few days and i order like 3 weeks before ya and dont get anything. sad.gif If i recieve the chip this coming week then ill agree about the stock problems. If not i wont order from them again.

They scam people in different ways, depending on how they pay
and what they buy. I bought a premoded xbox. I got it in about a 3 three weeks. Only because I got on them about it. If I didn't! They wouldn't have sent it at all. But they were worried I would complain to paypal before 30 days. Yes I spoke with paypal. after 30 days they will not do anything. That is there policy. So Hackershardware sends me an xbox that is flashing red. So I send it back. And now they wont answer my emails. That was the plan to deal with someone if they complain before the first 30 days.

I think they are lazy, unorganised and not too bothered. Id picture a desk with thousands of bit of paper with scribbled orders on, no filing system and they just pick at random what peices or paper/order todo next. sad.gif I certainly will never order from them again.

HH is a scam, you have to be a retard to think otherwise. Hell even the most stupid circus side show game has to let you win sometime, this is how they get suckers to part with their money. When 90% of their clients get screwed its a fucking scam, end of story!

I got my money back from HH, It took almost 7 months but I finally recieved a credit from their credit card center who just so happens to have dropped them because of the unscruplous business practices and they HH owes them money.

X-box-scene obviously gets some sort of kick back from them because they still to this day run their banner ads. Fucking morons!

Don't buy from these people and do what I do, don't frequent xbox-scene, if they gave a damn they would drop the banner ad!

I decided to take a chance and order from them today....ordered a X-Box Pre-Mod with X-Ecuter 2.0. I sent them an e-mail telling them of my order and what I expected to come along with that chip (everything that the team says themselves will come with it). I understand since it's not out yet that I will have to wait a while, but I'll be counting the days when they recieve them on their site to the time it takes for me ot get my system. If I don't get it before Christmas (Assuming X-Ecuter 2.0 comes out before then), they've lost my $310, and I'm going to give them so much hell if they aren't swift.

Its over a month, theyve stopped responding to my emails now. Wish xboxhacker.net forums were still open, HH seemed to post there a few times when something was wrong with its customers.

Others have said that when it comes to Hackers Hardware, PayPal is quick to give money back. Look around in this forum.
