I'll kick this thread off with my overwhelmingly positive experience. I ordered my Xenium modchip on Jan. 17th because my other one on order from divineo.net hadn't come for almost a month and I needed one before my christmas break ended. Needless to say, I wanted it fast. Unfortunately there was no shipping options, although I think the one they used is actually Next Day. I got a Paypal receipt immediately but nothing else. The following day I emailed their sales department asking if they got my order, and promptly -- within a few hours -- recieved a reply saying that they did, and that my paypal reciept was my order confirmation. They said that I would get a tracking number and that the product would ship on monday. Monday came and went without a tracking number. That night at midnight-ish I was on the Xenium forum of this website and came across a thread titled "I ordered from Modwhiz.com.... was that bad idea" or something like that. Intrigued I went to it, and found the owner/operator/something of modwhiz.com posting and answering questions. He had said earlier that day that the person who started the thread should get his tracking number that day. I was relieved the store wasn't a scam, but still uncomfortable that my chip was supposed to come the next day, but I still hadn't had a tracking number. The next morning, though, at 10:00ish I think, my modchip arrived. Later that afternoon I got a tracking number... It turns out they had problems with FedEx, so that through a monkey-wrench into the plan, but they managed to ship it out with some other carrier, and got it to me in the same time. I'm very pleased with their fast response to the problem since I did pay for what I thought was next day.

So in conclusion: Excellent response time to emails, active on the scene, kept promises made on website, modchip in 2.5 days beginning to end. Highly recommended! 10/10

I've never experienced customer service even near this good from any MOD chip retailer (and I've delt with a few). I ordered Xenium lateSunday night, they were in my hands and being installed today (Wednsday). Unbelievable, my e-mails for support were answered extreamly quickly, it was more like instant messaging than e-mail.
They were professionally packaged in Cardboard then bubblewrap and then individually wrapped in a sealed static proof bag.
Trust me, this is the place to buy the Xenium's. Keep up the good work ModWhiz!
I just hope the customer service and care stays this good with all the new business.

after searching all over the place for a chameleon solderless adapter and xenium combo, I finally found one (or they found me on a forum post) and decided to buy it cause i just couldn:t wait to mod my x... you really can:t go wrong with these guys... they are an official reseller on the ozxodus site, they ship out and give you the CORRECT date of arrival (took exactly 16 hours to get to my door COD!), and great... I mean GREAT... service... they are all around nice guys (or guy... or girl, who knows)...

This store is AWESOME!!!! First of all they were one of the few places where i could find an Xenium and solderless adapt. Well anyway i ordered my chip and stuff with my debit card and the last check out screen didn't show up(said there was an error or something). So I was all nervous, then i checked the amount of money on my card and it said that the price of the stuff i bought had been deducted. So then i went on the IRC and talked to support. The guy I talked to was very helpful and said i should recieve a confirmation email a few hours after i order. Well sure enough an hour after i ordered i got the confirmation mail. I was all happy. Then a day went buy ( i got next day shipping) and i was supposed to have my tracking number. Well i never got it. But today right on time my chip came with everything i ordered. These guys are the best. I will gladly do business with them again!!!

ok the excitement is getting to me! I ordered the xenium w/ solderless adapter yesterday at 2p I paid for the overnight what are the chances I will still get it today?

Very positive experience with modwhiz. Ordered Monday night, and got my chip Wednesday. It's nice to experience speedy customer service once in a while!

Glad you are satisfied, we have really fine tuned our shipping in the last couple weeks and now our 2-5 day shipping option is no longer sent using USPSP/Canada Post due to their crappy tracking system.

We now use UPS for the 2-5 day and the tracking is automatic and instant! All packages in North America get there between 2-3 days too

I ordered my Xenium at 1pm, had it in my hands by 11am the next day!

Also, about an hour after I placed the order, I wanted to add the solderless adapter to it, but I couldn't get through on their phone system. They happened to be sitting in IRC in the #ozxodus forum, heard my plight, answered and shipped the adapter to me with free shipping!

My friend bought a Xenium with Solderless adapter. Everything came very speedy. Ordered tuesday got it friday. Couldn't be more happy! Chip works perfectly.

I think i have uncovered the diamond in the ruff of all Chip sellers. Modwhiz.com is the place to go!

I've placed two orders for two Xeniums each order (four total), and these guys ROCK. I got the chips VERY quickly, and they all worked.

The only recommendation that I would make is ship them with the latest Xenium OS (1.1) , because it's a PITA to whip out the old composite cable for the v1.4 and v1.5 consoles.

I found my permanent Xenium supplier!

So far, I'm 4/4 with Xeniums, and 20/20 for modchips overall (that's working RIGHT the FIRST time!)

Rest of World $19 US

This applies to all normal orders, no premods.

Please note this shipping is done through UPS/FedEX/DHL and comes with a very accurate tracking number/system allowing you to track your packages in real time!

No postal mail with crappy tracking system and lost packages.

European orders are normally there within 2 days and rest of world approximately 3-4 days.

Ordered Thursday 4:30pm, delivered Monday (express overnight delivery).

E-mailed Friday 10:30pm to enquire about shipping number and got autoresponse saying would be responded to within 24 hours. Monday, chip arrived in morning, now 11:50pm and still no response to e-mail.

My experience with ModWhiz was mixed.

I recently order two mod chips. I received them the next day. That part was good.
I modded the first XBOX and tested both chips in it. One chip worked, it booted to the Xenium BIOS. The other chip did not work however, it frags.

I emailed Modwhiz about the problem on the 1st, the 2nd and the 4th and did not get any reply. I am expecting that I am going to get burned for 50 bucks.

That was been my experience. Goog service before and during the sale. MIA afterwards.

Since my last post I emailed modwhiz one more time and they responded offering to help me with this problem. I need to send the bad chip back. I'll post a follow up afterwards. I felt I should update this thread with the fact that they have offered to make good on this.

On monday the 31st of May ordered an Xenium Modchip from modwhiz.com. They originally had the wrong shipping information, but that was corrected in a few days. I got express overnight with tracking and i still havent got my modchip yet and it is June 12th. I have sent countless email and called numerous times but no one ever replies or answers the phone. BUYER BEWARE...I would not reccommend anyone to buy anything from modwhiz.com and right now i fell that i am out of 75 bucks. I am looking into contesting the fees with my credit card company or contacting the Better Business Burea.

I ordered a Xenium from the boys at Modwhiz on the 26th of may and i have to say the delivery was amazing, overnight really was overnight. Unfortunately the chip hapened to die on me after about a week and i tried emailing them and they were quick to respond and offer help. I tried what they said with no luck and came to the absolute conclusion that it was dead so i emailed them back i didn't get a reply straight away but as i just read they were changing servers so that might explain it, anyway they are being good enough to exchange the chip for a new one for me and i just wanna say that the guys at Modwhiz are absolutely fantastic.

I have to agree with UnwrittenLaw. I ordered one Wednesday the 9th and it still hasn't gotten here. Worse yet, I've sent three emails to them and not one reply. There is, however, a charge on my account for it. What joy.

Right now I just want it sorted out. I'd never order from them again, though, unless they do something to make it up to me. This is not how to get repeat customers.

I am also considering making the same actions as UL.

I ordered mine the 8th (after 3pm so they didn't get the order till the 9th) and received it yesterday, 15th. They got it to me with in their 2-5 business day window. I can't say their customer service is great right now but they delivered to me as promised. They aren't trying to rip people off. I plan to install tonight, wish me luck.

My advice to customers is to use every avenue you can (IRC, phone, email, msn messenger, forums) to contact them and eventually they will respond. I think they are overwhelmed currently because of their email outage situation, but will resolve issues as fast as they can.

My advice to ModWhiz is to have some sort of communication readily available to the customers. I know I wouldn't mind delays or mix-ups as much as long as I know what's going on and have some contact with the dealer. Being able to talk with someone in customer service is comforting. It's when you can't get a hold of someone you get frustrated and start to panic that you might not get your order.

This is Law again...
I got my ModChip, refund of my shipping, and a little extra as an apoligy. I understand why they couldn't read my emails and had the incorrect shipping information, but I agree with mexp, they should have some kind of back up communication for these sort of matters. Thank you Modwhiz.com for being so understanding of my problem and for fixing it as soon as you could.

I have to say that as of right now I am pretty dissapointed with ModWhiz. I ordered an Xenium with the Official no solder adapter on Friday at around 12:00pm EST, and I have yet to recieve my chip. The delay would be no problem, but I did pay $15.00 for overnight shipping and the website led me to believe that at the latest it would be shipped Monday before 2:00pm EST; not to mention it is pretty hard to get ahold of these guys. After two pm's and about three emails I finally got a fedex tracking number from the sales@modwhiz.com address, but the number is invalid, (or the package has not been shipped).
I've read many good reviews about modwhiz, so I hope everything will be sorted out. I would however like to get a clear explanation about the delays, and reimbersment for the shipping charges.

I would have to say my experience with modwhiz so far has been very mixed. Basically, I pre-ordered the Xenium ICE on June 23rd, and received a prompt email back with an order number and instructions on how to get a tracking/shipping # , if I wanted one.

Of course I did want one- after all, I want to make sure I'm home to receive the chip and start my modding experience. So, 2 days after ordering my chip I decided to send an email with a request for a tracking #. The auto-response email that was sent back to me assured me that my inquiry would be answered within a 24 hr. period. Well, 24 hours passed. Then 48. I let it get to 72 hours total and then fired off another email, because I figured that they were probably swamped with Xenium ICE pre-orders and I can certainly understand the demands they were experiencing. That Email has yet to be responded to, and neither has the first.

I finally got fed up and sent them one last ditch effort email on July 1st, which also has not been answered. At this point, I don't know what to think.... on one hand, I understand that they must be swamped and working some serious overtime to get things done. On the other hand, I find it extremely uncool that something as simple as getting a tracking # could become such an ordeal. Overall, they haven't lost me as a customer, but they certainly haven't convinced me that they are really any better than the other reputable sites that so many here recommend.

I'm having the same experience as you two. Ordered on June 30th. Got my order number but no chip. I had to cancel my order at Divineo.com and through the posts on this thread I re-ordered from Modwhiz. They had overall good reviews up week until the past or so. What is going on over there?

All I want is my chip and no one seems to want me to have one. My money IS good you know.
