I purchase a Matrix and also a Chameleon from Easybuy2000.
I ordered the Matrix in late October 2002, and recieved it in about 2 weeks.
I ordered a PS2 modchip from them, but decided the soldering job was too much for me to handle, so I cancelled the order the same day I made it. I recieved an e-mail from Easybuy2000 the next day, confirming the order was cancelled.
I pre-ordered the Chameleon in February 2003 and recieved it in May 2003, when it was released.
I am very happy with my experiences with Easybuy2000 and would recommend them.

I originally called EasyBuy's toll free number to confirm stock of the product I was going to order (Chameleon + solderless adapter). Upon confirming that the product was in stock I placed my order with EasyBuy2000 on Monday, Nov. 10th. The next day I received a call from someone to confirm my billing and shipping info. I was told at this time that my order would be shipped out that day or the next, and I can expect the chip in my hand on Thursday.
When I returned to their tracking page on Wednesday I discovered that the product did not ship. When I called that afternoon I was told that they had run out of stock but they had already received a new shipment and were testing them. At this point I was told my order would ship on Friday or Monday due to the time it takes to test the chips.
Friday and Monday both come and go. On Monday afternoon I called to find out if my order had shipped since I didn't have access to the web so I couldn't check the online tracking. The entire day I could not get through to a human being. I sat on hold for 30 minutes at a time and finally gave up. I tried again on Tuesday morning. This time I was told that the stock they received of the Chameleons were not sufficient to fill their orders and they were expecting more to arrive on Friday or Monday.
After having been promised 2 delivery dates already and the obvious fact that they were withholding the truth I decided to cancel my order.
Upon checking their online ratings I found this:
http://www.resellerratings.com/seller1657.htmlIt appears to me that Easybuy has run their operation this way for nearly 3 years now and has yet to make any corrections in the way they handle customer service. I give them a big fat ZERO on a scale of one to ten. Only buy from this company if you enjoy frustration and being lied to.
Oh yeah, my order # was 148826 - I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm some other site coming here to flame them.... They do a good enough job of destroying their reputation by themselves.

Easybuy2000 sent me a bad chip. This is now confirmed and I am attempting to jump through the required hoops to get a refund.
I will post how they are handling the mess they've created. So far the only response I got from them is that if I don't send the entire package back they won't refund me. I asked them if I could return the defective chip only, and refund me only for that. I ordered another chip in the meantime (not from them of course) and thought I could just pay for the adapter and get a refund for the chip. Afterall they do sell them separate. Now I'm not so sure. I am going to be really pissed off if I end up paying for Easybuy's screw up.
So far they did not even respond within the advertised 48 hours, but I figured that must mean 48 business hours so I didn't get upset. Then asked for an ID check, which bothered me since this has never happened to me, but since I don't have a landline I thought they may have a reason. Then when there didn't appear to be any progress the day after they received the info they requested (checking the their tracking page) I called them and they shipped out the chip immediately and I was again not concerned.
Then after I received the chip I couldn't get it to work. I made sure the adapter connections were good and still couldn't get it to work I thought it might just have a bad BIOS flash. So then I called them for a programmer but they were out of stock but their tech guy said I could ask their sales guy for a used programmer which I did. The sales guy eventually said he would put a note in for me. I never received an email or phone call about it. No new order number, so I don't know if and when and what they charged me. I can't imagine that they would send me a free programmer. However if they did, and they intend to refund all of my expenses except for the adapter (in which case I wouldn't expect a refund for shipping charges to me) then they would redeem themselves in my eyes. After all they are the manufacturer, and distributor of this ship. Sending a defective chip is 100% their fault, and they should take 100% responsibilty. They should not make their customers cover the expenses they incur while screwing up!
The programmer just arrived this Saturday, after I had become convinced that my phone call went into some black hole. But I could have called them to find out what they're doing so I can't blame them entirely. (Although the last time I called them I was on hold through my entire lunch which is why I hesitate to call them again.) And also since the mailman asked for my signature they may have sent the adapter earlier, and they might not have delivered when I wasn't home, who knows, but there were no notes left to indicate any undeliverable package. At any rate it was too late to help me. In my note to Easybuy asking to return the defective chameleon while keeping (and paying for) the adapter, I asked them to check their database cause if they sent the programmer for free, I ought to return it along with the chip. They did not respond to this part of my message at all so I don't know what's going on. On the other hand this may have been just an automated message, and I might be able to resolve this through a phone call. I will post the results.
I am willing to give them a chance to clear their name, but so far it's not looking good! Since they're the manufacturer and distributor of the chip and are 100% responsible for the condition of the product they shipped, it will make me extremely upset if I end up paying any money for their defective item-I've payed enough in lost time already. Not only did they ship late, I've wasted all this time making sure the connections were right, and then with the help of someone who wishes to be unnamed lost the time required to test the chip to see if it's defective or just has a bad flash. It isn't the piddly $39 plus shipping I might lose, I just want them to owe up to their responsibility and correct their own mistake without cost to their victim..uh, I mean customer...
Sorry for the rant I feel better now!
Edit: here's the update on my refund. (expletive) thieves!

I've modded three xboxes with chips from easy buy. They've all worked great and have been a good deal. My chip was shipped december 19th, 3 days after stock arrived and tested. The chips made it two days before christmas which was great.
I placed two orders one right after another, and my second order was cancelled as a duplicate order. I called customer service and was on hold for about 10 minutes and straightened everything out with a customer service rep.
All of the chips installed painlessly and work great. Despite a lot of other people's bad review's, I have ordered from easy buy twice...in 10/2003 and 12/2003... and both orders were satisfactory.
I will order from easy buy again.

I placed an order a chip on the 17th (Thursday)
and it took until Tuesday for them to bill my credit card - after I sent an email
basically reminding them that I ordered a chip (they respond fast to emails
reminding them of money you send).
It is now Friday the 26th, and when I checked my order online
it hasn't even been shipped yet, I only have been billed for it.
I sent about 4 emails asking for status/tracking and I have
not heard from them yet (they DON'T respond fast to emails
reminding them to ship your stuff).
Customer Service Sucks, their online support doesn't even work!
I never had problems before ordering from them but lately they have been
doing crappy job.

Never had a single email answer from them (I emailled them December 17th and a few time after)

December 30th, I cancelled my order and Ordered from divineo.com (after I received an email after only 4 hours)

I have a bad story with EB2k... horrible story.
I purchased the 10 Chameleon units which came with
free overnight shipping. The units were in full stock (purchased
the same day they recevied them back in stock). After about 6
days I received a confirmation letter that i actually wanted the units
which i sent back within 24 hours. I waited another 10 days and
noticed that the credit card was charged. I waited another 6 days
when i finaly cancelled my order. I waited 22 days for an overnight
shipment which was supposed to be at my house within 1 day. WOW!!
POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, WAITED 2 hours on the phone and 5 hours online,
nothing.
Will not recommend this to my worst enemies. Oh, maybe i would.

Recieved Magic 3.1 from them and spent the next couple weeks working at it off and on thinking my soldering was bad or
maybe mainboard was defective.
Finally after almost ready to go to the nuthouse gave up and took it to a professional installer (installed for years).
First he said the chip was a clone and also it was not flashed so useless.
Tried to get rma but they would not answer any emails or online forms.
Bought a
real magic chip and watched the installer put it on the same wiring and it worked no problem.
The chip was advertised as an original Magic chip (I certainly didn't want a clone).
All I can say is

Order #155596
I ordered the Chameleon nearly two weeks ago, still no mod chip. I called customer service last week and finally got through to some discheveled sounding character that could barely understand English. Once he finally understood my order number he tells me that it hadn't even been shipped yet and that it's back ordered due to "a problem at the chip company". Yesterday I tried to call customer service yet again to get some info on my order and was on hold for 30 straight minuets before I finally hung up. After that I logged into the order tracking page of the Easy Buy web site and got NO information from that. There's just an empty field where my tracking number is supposed to be posted. Later in the afternoon I got into these Scene web shop reviews and found out "The Rest of The Story" on Not-So-Easy Buy. That was all I need to know from there. I sent them an e mail last night telling them I wanted a refund immediately and to cancel the order. When I contact customer service today (if I can get through to anyone after being on hold for an hour and a half without going into a coma), I got a suspicion there gonna know about the e mail that I sent requesting to cancel the order and asking for a refund and tell me abruptly that "my order's already been shipped" and that "it can't be canceled" and that "I will have to wait to recieve the order" then "ship it back for my refund." After that point I'm sure I'll never see the chip or the $60 bucks. I've heard some stories that they tell you it shipped and then when you don't recieve the order they tell you some one must have stolen the UPS notice from your door and then took it down to the UPS station and forged your name to steal the package LOL!!!. I got a feeling I'm gonna get the same Bull Shit.
Can someone in the hierarchy of the Xbox-Scene be considerate enough to take down that fucking link to EasyBuy on the front page of the site? How many people have been burned buy them EasyBuy jackasses? Here, I'm gonna start a petitiion to get that link taken down. Here the first signature for the petition. TR

After repeated emails about 9 faulty chips, I finally got told to send them back for a refund. They were sent back almost 2 months ago and I have not received the payment or replies to my emails to EB2K.
Not only do they have poor quality products, they have absolutely terrible service.
I have had a number of bad experiences with this business and I urge everyone to try elsewhere. They are absolutely hopeless!

I'm very angry with easybuy.
On date 29 December i have make an order,my friends mistake and order only the adaptor.
After ten minuts i sent an email to modify my order and include also the chameleon.
Easybuy after one day replied to me that the weren't problems and my order was modified.

emailed these guys numourous times early december about chameleons in stock and still have not got a reply (its Feb now)... in my opinion if they can:t take care of their own customers with a simple email which takes like no time at all to answer a simple question, they are not worthy of my business... had to call them a bunch of times before i got through... and the guy i talked to was rude and unhelpful... plus, they are WAY wrong on their ETA:s... when have they been right?? and do they actually have anything in stock??? don:t bother with these guys unless you want a "chameleon 2" whatever that is...

: Order Number: 158351
Company has led me on a wild goose chase for nearly a month now. I purchased a Chamelon2 back on February 10, 2004 and that was the last I have heard from them. Only after checking their website and calling them multiple times did I learned that the product was on backorder over and over again.
I called today, after waiting on hold for 10 plus minutes, to find out the current status and was told the product was discontinued. There was no notification whatsoever of this or any of the other delays in shipping. Period. They told me a similar product (non solderless) was being substituted for the item I purchased (solderless) only it is not similar. In order to get a solderless one I have to pay an additional charge for a higher end model. Oh.. And the replacement product is not anticipated to ship until March 21. As if I am going to wait another month to receive the product so the order was cancelled. I should have done the smart thing and read everyone's comments here and I definitely wouldn't have ordered anything from them.
I think its plain and simple that Easybuy2000.com does not care about quality customer service and it is with my experience that I warn each of you to stay away from this company at all costs.

During early December I preordered 30 chameleon chips. I understand that they were out of stock but the time for them to get them in was only two weeks. However they kept on extending thier estimated arrival time. Then they claimed to have made a new 2MB chip and extended the ETA longer. Now they've calm to have developed a 4MB chip and extended the ETA to March 31 then April 2 and now April 9.
Here is my predictions of what they will do next:
Prediction 1
They will develop an 8MB Chip and extend the ETA
Prediction 2
They will vote Repulician
Prediction 3
They will clam that they went out of business. But the truth would be that they changed their company name and start fresh. So that they can scam people again Since Easy Buy 2000 already has a bad name. I wish I would of known that.
So the case i lost lots of money 30(quantity) * ($29 + shipping) = stolen

I had a bad opinion of easybuy2000 having used them in the past, but decided to give them one last chance.
Wow, what a change, very fast response to emails, usually within 30 minutes of sending. Order was dispatched very same day.
It looks like they have finally got their act together, and are treating their customers with the respect they deserve.
I personally, had a good experience with them, hopefully this will continue and they will grow from strength to strength.

i ordered a chip from them about 3 or 4 years ago and didn't have any problems so i thought i'd try them again - i recently ordered from them and got my chip in fairly quickly so i thought everything was going to go well again - so i sit down to put the chip in and realize i'm missing the black adapter needed to install the solderless parts - check their forums and find out this is an known and ongoing problem and no response at all from mutiple attempts at contacting them about either getting the piece sent out or getting a refund - their customer support is just about nonexistent - they have official forums but the employees don't ever reply to anyone on there so they're not much use - i eventually had to do a chargeback cause i never could get ahold of anyone up there and i for one won't be buying from them again
