Even if the numbers were true, what I do not believe,
that was the price for letting BluRay win over HD-DVD.
I guess that the fiscal value of this victory is not added
into account before releasing such a sloppy statement.

The only reason why Sony screwed up is because of the MANY Hardware changes they did over the 2 to 3 years its been released. USBs, Memory Card slots, PS2 Backward play, PS1 Backward play, DVD play, and so on. The Wii on the other hand did not have these many changes and kept some money in their pocket, well for right now at least because the damn controls want to always change in style. Anyway, Ps3 is fine right now, it isn't the end of its life cycle yet, and still has a way to go before beating Microsoft's Xbox 360 buying scheme.

PS2s have been turning a profit for more than 5 years. This stat means nothing at all. As proven by Xbox1, long term goals are sometimes more important than short term. PS3 will be profitable 1 day, and the PS4 will still be known as a quality console.

Now, Blu-Ray... I'm not so sure.

It's no blind dislike, if they did end up quitting in the console business, M$ would have no competition and xboxs would probably become about as bland and as overpriced as PS3s are now. I do not really think my comments are making me look bad, it's just you taking them for a lot more then what they are worth. I could say that I would not be surprised if M$ stopped making Zunes (which I really wouldn't be surprised) just because so far they have not yet been able to get anywhere near the business Apple is getting from their iPods and you would probably agree with me.

I do not believe they will ever quit the console market until everyone else does just because companies can be stubborn (especially Microsoft) but I would not be surprised if it happened.

lol, i like chancers sig.... sure does make sense.

sony might not be making from the ps3 yet but however because of the ps3 they have blue ray, they have the entire disc based hd movie market to themself.

in the long term the ps3 will make money and the investment in the ps3 has given them the blue ray market that will eventually become common in many homes when standalone players are below £100 i would think.
so all in all they have 2 chances to get the invested money back and make a profit, m$ on the other hand are having to spend profit on repairs and development (resin round the cpu and gpu to hold em still, bet i cost millions to come up with that and put it into practice and it has not even worked)

the ps2 is still going strong as well, then theres the income from every other device they make, plus no piracy of ps3 games is certainly in their favour.

i dont think sony are gonna be too worried yet, the ps3 will be about for a very long time, sony does have a lot of loyal customers.

personally not a fan of sony as a company or the ps3 but they do make a cracking 7.1 amp... i will give em that....lol

I'm not so sure the zune is as big of a failure as you might think. I work with alot of older people (most are twice my age, im 25) and ALOT of them bring zunes to work. Not a single ipod amongst the lot of them. The know the microsoft name, they dont feel "hip" enough for an ipod (those commercials scare them) - and it has an FM tuner. For those reasons microsoft may have accidentally hit a small market to keep them selling.

I don't care what anybody else says, i am a proffesional games designer and seen no fucking point of making 3 o 4 different versions of the same fucking thing !

I originally bought a 40GB and i want impressed, Sony are just a bunch of MONEY MAKING ARSEHOLES. Dont get me wrong though, i would never get a Xbox 360 nor would i even speak highly of one. THE FACT is that Sony made a total arse of the only opportunity they had to make the better of the 360. Lets weigh thi up as evidence !!!!!!

For a developer you don't seem too clued up on the PS3 to me. You don't even have an awareness of the model range on release by the look of it.
Stop posting in capitals as well. Don't use profane language all the time. It makes you sound 9 years old.
